We've been a locally owned and operated company since 1976, and we stay current with new heating technologies. Plains Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc aims to provide comprehensive air conditioner services to the residents of Eastern Colorado and Western Kansas. We're equipped with all of the tools and skills needed to work on any make or model cooling system that you have. Keeping your home cool in the summer is important, and we'll get each job done correctly the first time.
Here at Plains Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc, we have years of experience in manufacturing and custom sheet metal fabrication for the HVAC industry. Sheet metal fabrication requires special training to ensure the ducts are solid and sealed to carry the air through your heating and cooling system free of any leaks.
Your home's air ducts are in charge of moving conditioned air throughout your home to keep the indoor temperature comfortable and consistent. Unfortunately, air ducts that are not insulated properly can "leak" a ton of that conditioned air. Not only does this make your home more difficult to heat or cool comfortably, but it also lowers your home's energy efficiency.

I called to schedule another appointment request, I was told there is 7 other clients before me in that day and a tech or rep agent would call me later that evening to see when the next availability was. No call that evening... So I called the following morning and then I was told that a tech could get to my clients house sometime tomorrow and they would give me a call for sure in the morning to inform me/client on an exact time. Next day arrived and no call in the morning...no call at noon... So I called back once again, and then I was told the techs would be out working till next week and they

Had a guy from the strasburg shop come out to service my furnace and he was very rude and didn't seem to know much about hvac. While he was cleaning the unit with a shop vac he had hit the control board and knocked a soldered piece off. So the guy basically told me I need to buy a new control board in order for my furnace to work again. Keep in mind my furnace worked perfectly fine before this guy went down with his shop vac. He insisted I buy a $400 + part and have him install it for $130 an hour. He put the blame on me and raised his voice at which I told him to leave my property. To top it all

This company was referred to me by a friend.
I've been having issues with my furnace overheating.
I called in and within 30 mins, I received a called back from the service tech David. Within 30 mins he was at my door. David was very pleasant and I felt the pricing was very reasonable.
Hopefully I won't need them anytime soon but if I do, I'll definitely use them again.

Plains Heating and Air Conditioning helped me out a lot in special circumstances.
The ladies in the office were always nice, and helpful when I called.
Leon was willing to take on the special circumstances needed on my job.
Marcus, Evan, Alex, and Jayden were always punctual, communicative, and helpful.
They helped me with everything I needed for a reasonable price.
I'm very appreciative.
Thank You!

Have had bad experiences in the past with my a/c not getting fully repaired by them. Now that they have Michael, I thought I would give them a try again. He was prompt and friendly. Unfortunately, they sent me a bill for $85 just to have him show me where the reset switch is on my furnace. I expected to pay something, but that is way more than I would have imagined, for 5 minutes, in the same small town where they are located. I have a small business and there is NO way I would still be in business if I did that to my customers.

I'm not sure how this company has such a high rating. This company is very good at taking advantage of rural customers. In October, we lost heat and Plains came out and told us the control board was bad. Cost of parts: $257. I can get the control board for less than $100 retail. Fast forward to this week. Again, no heat. the fan on the booster motor was out of whack so the wonderful technician replaced the entire assembly, even though the motor was only three months old. The bill came today: $373.50 for parts (The most expensive booster assembly I can find for retail costs $189). The tech would
