Chicago Interior Designer Susan Brunstrum wants every client to feel comfortable and happy in their home. This passion for the client extends to all that she has built with Studio Brunstrum. But at Studio Brunstrum, our definition of success hinges on the journey we take with our clients. Collaborating was a natural evolution for Susan Brunstrum. After years of creating custom pieces for her clients, she was invited by manufacturing partners to expand her aesthetic and thus Studio Brunstrum Home was launched. Each design offers the comfort and artistic flair that give a space balance -- with a trace of the unexpected.
When the media calls, we are delighted to answer. We share our passion for design in hopes that an audience will find something that speaks to them, whether it is an idea for upgrading a bathroom, how-tos for refreshing a family home, or other inspirations. Critical: Professionalism, Value
Working with Susan has been a horrible experience. She abused the relationship between my wife and me and totally blew off the limits on her work. She billed after 3.5 months at 5.5x her retainer and threatened to increase the rate to make it 9x if we didn’t us her for procuring renovation and furniture. This is a scam.

My husband & I attended an interior design presentation by Susan Brunstrum at our local library. We were just starting to think about how to upgrade our 45 year old home that looked way more retired than we did.
Her style was relaxed and her ideas were creative so we set up an appointment to see how she might tackle our problems. It did not take long to see that she could be a wonderful resource and capable manager so the contract was signed. I cannot say the process was easy as we had our wood floors refinished and that involved the entire first floor. We were disrupted for several months as

We have used Sweet Peas Design in two of our homes now. In our prior home we used Sweet Peas Design to overhaul our Master Bedroom. Susan was able to create a beautiful room including new bedding, draperies, lighting, paint color, and new furnishings while still working with some of our existing pieces.

We had a vision of how we wanted our home to look, but we did not have the confidence to make it happen. Susan listened to our thoughts and ideas and stretched my design concepts, taking me away from the very safe and expected traditional design to transitional. We used Sweet Peas Design to furnish and decorate almost our entire house. Susan and her team are efficient and delightful to work with, and Susan saw our projects through from start to finish. We have used other designers in the past and not been satisfied with the end results. I can not say enough about the positivity of this Design Group and the work they do which is outstanding!😊😊

We selected Sweet Peas design based on Susan Brunstrum's reputation in our community, and we are really glad we did! I really like how much our home feels like us. We are a very casual family; we didn’t want anything too pretentious, and we really feel comfortable with it. All the rooms flow together.
We especially love the seating area Susan created in our new master bedroom suite. I never would have hung out up there watching TV before, but now we do.
