The actual work crew deserves credit for being timely, efficient, and hard working; however, Hughes Landscaping failed to meet our expectations in every other aspect of our interactions with them and, as such, cost the company a potential long-term customer. Jimmy, the arborist, lacked basic communication skills and failed to follow-up on several topics, prompting us to call the main business office for assistance. When he finally returned our messages, Jimmy was arrogant, condescending, and rude. Hughes eventually sent a second individual, Tim (?), to follow-up on outstanding requests for a) assistance

The boss and his crew made the cost of the job worth every last penny. They took down a huge, dead tree next to our pool and removed big, low hanging branches over our parking area. Hughes Landscaping were very knowledgeable, skilled, efficient and gracious. Their work was excellent and a very good value. We highly recommend them.

I was a customer of Hughes for years for lawn maintenance service. This year, out of the blue, I received an impersonal letter stating that my account was being referred to another provider due to “lack of staff” to do the work. However, several neighbors on my street also use Hughes and they were not dropped. When I called to clarify I was told that lawn-only customers were being referred elsewhere. If they were smart, they would have attempted to upselll me for other services. Instead, they get this public review. I have thankfully found a new local company (not the one they referred me to

Great value. High quality work. Smart team. Super efficient. Had them do the whole yard (big yard), build an out door patio with a fire pit, dry creek bed in the yard to help flow of drainage, planted 15+ trees, also bushes, shrubs , huge stones, and irrigated my entire back yard so it drained efficiently. John Hughes may be the best in the business!

Our deck was in disrepair after years of wear. Hughes Landscaping took on our deck, trellis, and railing system and we now have an oasis in our backyard. Tim Gardner was an excellent communicator and facilitator for design aspects, product quality, and always went the extra mile to work with us daily. His crew was on time, worked diligently, and communicated with us about small details as well, led by Levy.

We couldn't be more pleased with Hughes Landscaping and HIGHLY recommend them. John and his capable\professional crew installed our stone walkways in Sept.\Oct. 2019, and removed turf and installed pebble walkways and deer fencing in May\June 2020. The project was well-managed we are so pleased with amount of care and attention that went into even the smallest details. John's team really worked with us to bring our vision for the project to life, and to creatively solve any minor glitches we experienced along the way. We love our new yard!

We hired Hughes Landscaping to build a retaining wall, cut new flower beds, move a ton of landscaping rock, and dig and install a 30' downspout drainage system away from our house. It was a big job and they did fabulous!!! The team was on site for 3 days, arrived early, worked hard and finished the job quickly. We couldn't be more happy with the work Hughes did for us. We would recommend them to anyone and will call them for any future needs.

Jimmy and his crew were efficient and clean. They took great care to make sure that our yard was disturbed as little as possible while doing work on two trees in the front and three in the back. They were even able to take care of a last minute problem tree that I asked them to remove the day of. Jim is an Absolute professional and very knowledgeable about each type of tree we have on our property. I will be using Hughes and this crew for all of my tree care needs from now on.

We are so thrilled with the work we had done to our yard thanks to Hughes Landscaping. We had our front yard completely redone by removing all existing plants and walkway, and starting fresh with a new design. We had them design new plant beds, build a new flagstone walkway and had a retaining wall put in. We also had a huge tree removed in our backyard that was hanging over our house.
Wyatt and his crew were nothing short of amazing. They were professional, courteous, and listened to all of our ideas and requests, and came up with a beautiful design. They were very fast and paid spectacular attention
