Anchor Heating and Air Conditioning is an extension of V. Ficchi, Inc., a family owned and operated business for over a century. Vergenio Ficchi, an Italian immigrant and coppersmith by trade, started the business in 1917. He worked for a stove company as a repairman and salesman before opening his own hardware and furnace sales store.
Vergenio's son, Vincent Ficchi, Sr., was an integral part of considerably expanding on his father's foundation. He knew the future was in more than only furnace sales, and expanded into installation and repair. Today, our company specializes in commercial and industrial heating and air conditioning systems.
We pride ourselves on having built a network of business partners that is as solid as our projects. Currently we continue to expand our expertise and pioneer into the world of pressurized air filtration units and installations.

Services
In this two part project, we installed two independent air inflation units, supporting one of the biggest Yeadon Fabric Domes in the northeast, fitting an eight lane by 200-meter track. Each Temprite unit consisted of three tractor trailer sized components that wrre craned and set in place to deliver conditioned air to the 135,000 square foot structure via sub-level cement duct network.

I manage a small business in Rome NY and I had two other HVAC companies work on our commercial air handler and tell us it was unfixable. One of the companies installed a motor to run backwards while trying to fix it which caused it to freeze up and cause water damage. The other company told us the unit was shot and wanted to sell us a brand new one.
As a long shot I called Anchor and they sent out a very knowledgeable Technician the same day. He found the motor that was incorrectly installed by the first company and fixed the overall problem! Anchor saved us thousands of dollars! They are honest

One month I had my A/C and furnaced serviced and Was told Indeed a whole new unit because the A/C had a leak and the furnace was old. My brother suggested I call Anchor Heating for a second opinion. I did last week because of the heat and the A/C wouldn't work. Although they were very busy, they sent a service technician right over and inspected my units.
The A/C wasn't working because someone left then freon lone caps off, so he charged the A/C and performed some basic service on it. I t is working just fine. Also, he inspected the furnace and said we still haven a couple years left on it.This

Excellent company to work with...
We are completing a home renovation project requiring about half of the home's original duct work to be moved and replaced. The home is pre-1950s with all old, non-standard sized duct.
It is not easy to install new work into existing old home construction; but from the outset, and working with Dave from Anchor, they had the knowledge and ability to approach the work with confidence. They worked with us to complete the project within the constraints of a tight construction schedule, have been extremely friendly and trustworthy, and did really high quality work

The staff at anchor heating is Stellar completely professional they performed an incredible job finding a leak underneath my concrete floor in the basement where many other companies could not find the leak I own a historic property at 5 Rucker Park in Utica and I would say that that the staff at anchor as compared to other companies which I will not list here in this writing is above the the name of professional at what they do they perform their worki with expertise

Anchor has been my go to HVAC company for well over a decade. However, after seeing another local company on tv and other advertising I chose to use them for a maintenance on my a/c this spring. This other company came to my house and gave me an estimate of $7000 to replace my outdoor compressor and the attic device telling me that there was old freon (R-22?) that cost $2000 to test the system for leaks and also claimed the actual price was $14000 for the job but that they were doing me a favor. I know how busy Anchor is with large commercial jobs but I felt I owed them a call just to inform them

We called Anchor Heating to look at the boiler when we bought our house. It wasn't working very well and we thought we would need to have it replaced. After looking it over, rather than tell us it needed to be replaced they told us that it is a good boiler that just needed a little fine tuning to get it running efficiently. They took care of it and saved us the cost of a new system. When we bought a new programmable thermostat their technician Dave came over, installed it, and took the time to run us through the basics of programming it the way we wanted to. We are very happy with their professional

Our boiler was not working after we had the pilot light turned on - too much carbon monoxide! Another company sent a repairman (salesman really) who said they could not clean it nor guarantee that if the did try that it would keep working. All we could do was get new furnace! Anchor Heating came, cleaned it, tested it and it has been operational ever since! Honest and They deliver - cannot ask for anything else. Excellent Company
