TruNorth Landscaping was formed as a result of a dream to create a landscaping company that was different from the rest. Our name, TruNorth, and our compass logo were chosen for two reasons. One, they reflect our love of Northern Michigan, and secondly, they point toward our true north, which is our faith in God.
The TruNorth Landscaping team is fully uniformed and expertly trained. Our foremen (team leaders) wear polo shirts, so you can easily spot them on the jobsite. Our company is comprised of 7 teams and two superintendents, who support the crews in the field. We also have our own in-house design team comprised of a landscape designer, landscape architect, and estimating consultant.

TruNorth tackled our very steep lakeside hill and other landscape renovations. This included the erradication of overgrown beds, out of control vines and ground cover, and a broken down irrigation sysytem. The beds were all replanted and the irrigation system repaired. They also reseeded much of our lawn. The work was truly challenging and they worked hard to make sure that we were satisfied and our challenges were met. The workers were responsive, friendly and professional. The management team was responsive and always willing to solve any issues that arose. We will continue to utilize their services

We've had great service since employing TruNorth to mow our lawn. It didn't take long for us to enlist them to help us with landscaping. They installed beautiful trees and shrubs to replace some large trees we had removed. This year we hired them for fertilization, lawn maintenance, and horticultural work. After they finished in the Spring our yard was clean and the beds well edged and mulched. Our yard has looked great every since. Hiring TruNorth to handle all of our yard maintenance needs is one of the best decisions we've made. Courtney has been incredibly responsive on the lawn maintenance

We are extremely pleased with all of the work that the TruNorth Team has done for us!
The snow removal service has been excellent and very much appreciated this winter. We have a long, circular driveway which is challenging to plow. The TruNorth team has kept it open all winter, and last year, too.
The landscaping work done last summer at our house on the lake far exceeded our expectations. It was exactly what we had pictured, and within our budget. The work was done on time, with good follow up. Doug's additional suggestions for the patio and walkway to the beach were very helpful.

This past summer we entrusted TruNorth to transform our entire property, from retention walls, new lower deck, new flagstone front entry and porch and all new plantings as well as steps down to the back yard. From the onset, their professionalism and attention to detail was outstanding. Their hardscape crew did an outstanding job and the Rosetta materials they recommended turned out beautiful.
