Our story started when my parents Russel and Katherine Bowen established Bowen Remodeling & Design in 1953. They worked side-by-side every day, strengthening the Bowen name with their hard work and dedication to family values. The customer always came first, and the business was operated with a value on the customer experience and high-quality results.
Bowen Remodeling is conveniently located in Crofton, Maryland. Our service area has incredibly wide coverage and supports all communities within a 1-hour radius from our showroom! Having used Bowen to remodel both our bathrooms in recent years, we again called on them, this time for an extensive project of repair, painting, and renovation of our entire house, interior and exterior. The project lasted two months, precisely as it was projected and scheduled. The work was flawless: totally professional and expertly performed. The workers were highly professional, courteous, friendly, and considerate of our comfort and needs during this extensive project. This company seems like they do great work. They have a lot of selections to choose from, however communication with this company is not the best. Shortly after the Joe came to my house to take measurements of my kitchen, the designer Amanda developed the CAD drawing. Months later when we reached out to her, it was brought to our attention that she was no longer working on our project-Samantha had taken over the project. After meeting with Samantha to discuss change in budget and cabinetry selection, she advised that she would contact us with the updated quote. Welp, radio silence. I left several

We were SO disappointed to see what has come of this company. Used them years ago to finish our bathroom and Joe Bowen himself was extremely talented. Since then they have apparently grown too much too fast. Joe Bowen is no longer the "hands on" guy. His daughter is the "designer"...but not really. She won't share an actual design. They are overpriced and non-responsive, and strung us along until we were unable to get our project done (with or without them) in the time we had. Look elsewhere.

I met Joe and his team at the home show in Upper Marlboro MD. At that time I was planning to remodel our main bathroom. After my first appointment with the designer Samantha I knew I had made the right choice. From start to finish everyone was professional and respectful of my home. I've never used their service before, but I'd like to leave a review of the driver I met on the highway today. A Bowen Remodeling & Design employee came out to my house for a basement remodeling estimate and they were 45 minutes late. I was told I would be contacted 2 weeks from then with an estimate after initial plans were drawn up. After 3 weeks I called them 3 times and left 3 messages for them to call me back and never heard back from them for an estimate. 4 weeks later I still have not heard anything. This company has no common courtesy to its potential paying customers and clearly lacks professionalism.

Bowen is one of the worst companies I've had the displeasure of working with for renovations to my home. When major problems arose, which were caused by Bowen, the company made no effort whatsoever to retain my business. I was told that they would "lose money" by accomodating my request for a solution after one of their workers failed to show for a scheduled appointment. I was provided with multiple inadequate excuses and no solutions other than to schedule another appointment. The answer is to possibly waste another entire day from work with no guarantee that the workers would actually

Overpriced and don't stand behind their work. Both my neighbors and I have had identical experiences with them. When they price a job, it's always the most expensive quote, with an understanding you're paying for guarantee and quality. I fell for it and then we had a problem - Bowen totally blew us off. Neighbor had same experience.
