Yes, this is Arizona! Situated on a small lake in central Scottsdale this charming condo was remodeled top to bottom for a winter only resident who truly loves color. This fresh look comes to life with deep saturations of aqua and coral set against neutral walls, floors and cabinets. Beautiful quartzite countertops provide a touch of elegance to the all white kitchen and master bath.
It all started with a request for an easily accessible shower. With a few special design elements added in for good measure, we completed not only a full master bathroom and custom closet, but a new kitchen with all the bells and whistles. Using cool tones and transitional shapes, both spaces compliment the home owner's desire for understated yet elegant living.
A client in Chandler, AZ contacted us to help bring character to her newly built Pulte Home. The homeowner was raised on a farm in Iowa - using that as our inspiration we created a chic, modern farmhouse feel to her spaces. A beautiful original painting of a farm scene barn brought back fond memories of winter in her native state.
Using photographs of our clients previous home, the design opportunity was to embellish the newly flipped home in Scottsdale to showcase his collection of mid-century modern furnishings. Through clever color placement, new textiles and wall treatments we were able to create unique spaces that amplified the fantastic lines of his curated pieces.
This fantastic original Eichler atrium style home (a signed patch of drywall in the garage with his signature on it was saved during the remodel and is now framed and hung in the house) had not been upgraded since it was built. Most of the original features were left in tact but brought into the 21st century with double glazed windows and doors.

Let me just say that Valory Covello is a master! She has been my go-to person for just about any design decision made in my home from selecting paint colors, tile, hardware, carpet, moulding, art placement...and she knows all the reliable vendors to get the work done. She's got impeccable taste and constantly saves me from my own impulse decor decisions. Her knack of visualization is a gift I wish I had but it's ok because I just call Val who paints the picture for me.

Finding Valory has been the answer to my prayers! I thought I needed paint and carpet but wanted ideas to refresh our space. Valory took the time to ask all the right questions - where do we spend most of our time, what relaxes us, and. What do we love as is. Wasting no time at all she brought me options. And ideas that were spot on to what I dreamed of without even putting it in words. Valory worked with my girlfriend and I with our complete interior painting (6-8 colors) of a 2400 sqft house we purchased last month. She was prompt, professional, and knowledgeable. She listened to our existing preferences and gave us ideas on how to incorporate those themes. After our first meeting with Valory, we had a diverse palette that both of us liked. I read multiple reviews on Yelp looking for someone to help me add color and and a "wow" factor to our formal dinning/living room, do a little updating in our family room and redo our powder room. I am so happy that I decided to go with Valory! She was able to pick up on the style I was looking for right away and give great advice about what colors I needed to add. Valory has a talent for bringing unique design ideas together with bursts of color that bring life into a room. I have seen a few of Covello Design's finished rooms, talked to some of CD's very satisfied customers as well I am extremely well pleased with the updated bathrooms Valory has completed in my circa 1990s home in Arizona. Working with Valory was fantastic...she is very personable, professional and fun to work with! In our North Scottsdale home, we completely remodeled floors, countertops, paint colors, a fireplace façade, and window treatments and some bedding. We kept existing cabinetry, which might have created a challenge with the existing wood color, but working within our goals and budget parameters, Valory really pulled together the 'whole' look for us. Valory is amazing. I worked with her a few months ago to select colors for my house. She really took the time to get to know who I was before she started selecting colors. She picked great colors and let me know where I could be bold and where I shouldn't. She seemed to know my tastes even better than I did.
What I really like about her was that she really wanted to make sure that I liked the colors. She didn't try to push me into a style that I didn't like.

Valory is a genius! I know that sounds like exaggeration. It's not. She truly loves what she does and has developed her artistry, but she was born with a feel for color and texture and design flow. She just gets it. And she's a smart analytical thinker. Truly fast processing power. So she combines the best of both the feeling/creative world and the thinking/analytical world. I first ran into her where she consults at Cal Paint, and I saw her genius immediately. She simply lives color.

We wanted to paint all rooms in our house but couldn't agree on colors. We called Valory and are so glad we did. What we thought we were getting was just a color consultant but Valory gave us advice not only wall colors but also on lighting, wall treatments, furniture arrangement, drapery, and much more. She not only suggested things to us but told us why she thought it would work better. After she was done we painted several rooms with sample areas to confirm the choice. We found Valory on Yelp and recommend her highly. We were doing a complete remodel and needed a professional view of color throughout the house, room and room and flow. She was great, and easy, to work with, listening to our preferences, giving us good choices and then working efficiently with us to pick colors that worked well that fit us. The result has been excellent and very fair in terms of pricing. We're picky consumers, and can't say the same about everyone who worked on our house, but glad to recommend Valory without reservation.

My husband and I just bought our first home and had an idea of what we wanted the feeling in the house to be but were scared to pick colors on our own. Valory came out to the house and asked great questions about our style, looked at the house, the lighting, etc. and helped us pick out 4 colors. She even honed in on the fact that we didn't like green undertones (I couldn't even tell there was green in the tans and grays we were picking).

Valory is simply A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! I met her when I was trying to finalize paint colors for our home remodel. I would have surely gone stir crazy if it wasn't for her. She understood that I liked a more modern look, but made sure we picked colors that made my house feel like a home.

Valory is easy to work with and I would think anyone would enjoy redecorating with her. I know what I like but have a hard time describing it. Valory gets it. In addition to selection paint colors for my entire home, inside and out, she helped with space saving design for our tiny home, making it more functional yet stylish.
