Carlson's Tree Care

I was given Karl Carlson's phone# from a colleague this morning when I discovered my 40ft tree had come crashing down on top of my driveway and house. There was a very bad storm last night and still going on today with HIGH winds so a lot of trees and fences were down in the area plus power outages. Karl & his amazing crew were able to have this tree cleared off my property same day and for a very reasonable cost too! They even cleaned off all the debris from my driveway with a blower when finished. Amazing customer service right here. Highly recommend.

One of Carlson's tree care workers pulled out in front of me on Fair Oaks Boulevard going up towards Oak Avenue blew through a stop sign just to cut me off pulling a trailer and damn near made me hit the back of him this was at 9:38 this morning on October 25th 2019 with a complete disregard for the law and the community I will never use his tree service and it's really stupid to do stunts like that when your name is right on the side of the vehicle which is how I got this information what an idiot

I called on a Friday and was scheduled for someone to come out Monday morning at 8:00am was told they may even be a little earlier. No one came. I called at 9:20am Monday morning and the gentleman told me he would personally come out in 45-60minutes. No one came. I called back at 12:30pm and told him no need to come anymore since now it's been over 3 hours, and he hung up on me.

If you are going to be late at least call the customer to let them know. And if they call to find out what happened, don't hang up. Poor customer service.

These guys are the most technical and precision crew I have ever seen. Two other companies wouldn't even give me a bid they took out my 34" live oak between my house and spa for only $3500 and had left the yard spotless. Recommend Karl and his crew to anyone for any job and will be having them back in a couple of months to do another!

I live on Random Oaks Ln. in Loomis so you must know that I have a lot of oak trees. I had several that needed to be trimmed up and one needed to be cut down and ground out. I can't say enough about this outfit. The hardest working guys and fast also. They gave me a day rate and it was well worth the price (which was very reasonable). The guys were on time, called ahead and worked fast. They were clean cut, friendly and very professional.

Excellent service!!! Very professional and very fast!!! Owner came out and gave us an estimate and the next day the job was done! We had two huge red wood trees in our back yard and the crew removed them and grinned the stem down to the root! Super satisfied with his crew! Highly recommend!

We have used Carlson's Tree Care multiple times to trim our trees throughout the years. We've found them to do a good job and to be reasonably priced. When it came time to remove a large fruitless mulberry, we knew it would be expensive and got several bids. Carlson's Tree Care gave us the most reasonable price and even ground out some stumps for us and our neighbors for a small additional fee. The workers were friendly, were accommodating, and cleaned up the yard well. Karl worked with us to take away the part of the tree we could not use and cut up the remaining wood for our wood

A tree fell and blocked our driveway. He said he'd be here in an hour. He was on time, and cleared the driveway quickly. They came the next morning, as promised, took away the wood and cleaned up. I'll call Carlson again for tree work.

We were in a time crunch needing to get the limbs of an ornamental cherry tree cut away from our house so that we could have a realtor take pictures of our house. Karl showed up to give me a quote and said that he could do it at the end of the week, however, knowing that I was anxious to get it completed, he called a few hours later to say that there was an opening in their schedule and that he could be there in an hour. They were quick and cleaned up all debris afterward. It worked out great.

I was initially hesitant to have Carlson's Tree service out, due to one negative Yelp review -- but I'm very glad I ended up having Karl do the deferred maintenance pruning on all of our trees and will be using his service again.
Before getting an estimate, I called Carlson one Yelp review in particular and he explained the full story to my satisfaction. After having him out, I was happy with the price and his knowledge of tree care. His crew was very skilled and competent, as well as quick.

Karl came out and gave me the best price of the 8 estimates I got. They did a terrific job! See the before and after pictures I added. The house can't even be seen in the before photo. I would definitely use them again.

Left a message 8/10 for an estimate to remove branch debris from our back yard. They couldn't be bothered to return my call!

Absolutely the best in the area. Karl was great to work with and knows his stuff. Unfortunately I had used another tree service who didn't finish the job that I paid them for and it ended up being a nightmare. Karl came to the rescue and I now have a tree guy that I can count on. If you need any type of tree service whether it is big or small give Carlson's a call. You won't be disappointed.

I waited over 2 weeks for a return call from another tree service despite their trucks advertising 30% discount "today only" which lead me to believe they would get back to me in a timely manner.

I found a neighborhood referral service called Nextdoor who highly recommended Carlson's Tree Care. I contacted Karl, he was able to come out the same day and give me a very REASONABLE bid to remove mistletoe and clean up approximately 13 trees. He said he could schedule me in the following week out and true to his word called me the night before and confirmed the appointment. His

Very good experience with Carlson's tree service. They gave me a really reasonable estimate to remove a large stump in my front yard. Karl (the owner) came out and also gave me really good instructions on how to actually kill the roots before they removed the stump. They came out and did the job with no problems.
