Believe it or not, Richard's Tree Service all started as a side job. Back in 1957, Founder, Richard Graham, started trimming trees a few Saturdays per month so his wife could stay home with their children. Word started to get around, and the side job started becoming more regular, and even a bit overwhelming.

Can't give a quote without gossiping with the neighbors. No thanks. If you can't give quote and talk to the person asking for the quote and about what the job is then I am not able to hire you.

I called this company at the beginning of September, Mark came out to give me an estimate, which I signed and told him I'd like to proceed with having two large trees pruned. He told me they were about 6 weeks out with scheduling and I said fine. 8 weeks go by with no word so I call the company to find out what was happening. They said they did have a record of my signing the estimate and he'd look into it more and call me back. NOT LIABLE FOR DAMAGE TO SPRINKLER SYSTEMS! So we had a diseased cut down by richards tree service. Everything went smooth until the stump was remaining. We opted for a stump grinding. The tree was a small diseased white birch that probably could dug out myself. The stump grinder rolled onto our lawn smashing a sprinkler head. He then proceeded to cut the stump out. I thought everything went smooth until i looked down and saw he had sawed through about 1.5 feet of sprinkler pipes. I wasn't very happy about it but hopeful the Richards would make it right. This company may do a good job but only if you can get them to respond. I called and arranged for an estimate in June. I accepted their offer but they said that they couldn't do the job for 6 or 7 weeks. No problem for me. After 8 weeks without any contact I called again. They first couldn't find my job order and then finally located it. They promised a call back during the next day to schedule the work, but nothing occurred. After another week without a call I gave up and went with another company. They must not need the work but their lack of follow up is inexcusable.

Richard’s Tree service is amazing. They just removed 5 large trees and pruned back another, which were over hanging my roof and in very difficult places to remove. They were thorough , careful, polite and super easy to work with. Mark was always happy to give me suggestions and advice. You could not choose a better tree service. Most important - this was VERY AFFORDABLE. We were so worried that it would be costly to remove 3 very large trees, including stumps. Get a quote! I think you will be shocked.

My neighbor hired this company, Richard's Tree Service, and they were very careless when they were cutting the branches from their tree. They dropped a bunch of branches many times our plants and they cut and broke branches on our own tree that was 20 feet away. But instead of saying something, they covered it up and left. We know for sure we know who not to go to when we have tree problems.

We bought a property with 7 very old, overgrown, never-been-trimmed trees. I figured tree trimming would cost in the thousands and put off getting quotes. Im so happy i found these guys on Yelp. Not only did they give us a totally fair and do-able quote, but when there was a miscommunication about the appointment date, they gave me a big discount. Richard's Tree Service has trimmed my huge curbside Sycamore tree and my five Bradford Pear trees for many years. They are the nicest looking trees in the neighborhood.
Once the job is complete, the yard and street are tidy, with all trimmings, dust and leaves removed.

I hired Richards tree service to remove two ash trees from in front of my rental. They were fast, professional, and came prepared. They left my place looking way better than when they showed up. Richard's Tree Service was a pleasure to do business with. We had 3 Raywood ash trees in the front and along the side of the house. Also had a huge dead willow in the backyard that was dropping truck sized branches into the street and backyard. The employees were so skilled and professional taking down the trees. These guys are amazing. We had three huge, horrible china berry trees in our backyard. They were ruining our patio and causing a never ending mess. These guys were great. I had an 85 foot redwood in my front yard that had to be trimmed down to a reasonable height and thinned out. Fabulous Service ~ Our Commercial Site Service Company had contracted Richard's Tree Service to trim the trees at a large Shopping Center in Folsom, CA for our client. They did a fabulous job which made our firm look good. A really old maple tree in my backyard is slowly biting the dust. Every year we lose several branches and this year the top started to die back at the top. We used Richard's Tree Service after a neighbor's tree crashed during a big windstorm years ago and I called them again for an estimate. They came out from Yuba City to Lincoln on a referral do help my 100+ year old Oak tree. They surveyed the tree and it's needs (since my house is only 10 years old it was on the 'trees land') to keep it healthy. They then went to work climbing into the tree to take away the limbs that were too close to the house and those that could weaken the tree over time. I was very satisfied with the results, the time it took and the price! I would recommend them.
