Mike at MPG replaced my existing central AC and my central heating system with a Mitsubishi ducted mini split’s and I couldn’t be happier. My situation was a little unique because I wanted to use the National Grid heat loan program to install hyper efficient heat pumps to replace my existing Oil burner hydro heating system and get an added bonus new central air. I received 3 quotes from other companies and I was shocked at the range in pricing and the inability for most of them to explain the cost and components they were quoting. Mike was extremely knowledgeable answered all of my questions

We’ve used MPG multiple times in the past and they’ve always been very responsive. Today might set a record: when we noticed water pooling in the garage whenever the central AC was running, we called Mike and he had the problem fixed later the same day! He stopped by the house, identified the problem as a broken condensate pump, went and bought a new pump, and had it installed and working literally within an hour and a half of when we first placed the call. Can’t ask for better service than that!

We used MPG Mechanical to install a new Mitsubishi Mini Split system. I found Mike (owner) to be very responsive and communicated very well. Incompetent. Do not use. We had them come out to fix our minisplit Fujitsu unit. They found a capacitor board blown and charged me $470 for a part that we found out later cost $79.66 and required cash up front before they would order it. After installing the part unit still did not work. They tried to tell me I needed a new unit for $6800. They refused to deal with the warranty and have yet to give me a proper receipt for the part. After not showing up for multiple appointments and almost 2 months we called another company. UGNasons. They came out found 3 more boards out and informed me

MPG Mechanical has been professional, kind, knowledgeable and punctual. We have had a couple of emergency calls and he responds right away with a plan. He installed a complete air conditioning system in our 1852 home and carriage house and continues to do the maintenance on the systems twice a year. We have used him since our arrival to C.T. 8 years ago and I highly recommend him!

Sadly, we did not check the Yelp reviews before using this company. They were contracted to provide a written analysis and said as soon as they were paid they would send it. We paid and never received anything in writing. We called numerous times and they did not respond. It wound up costing us more money in the end. Terrible service, terrible communication, and we had to pay for it!! One star is overrated.

Have to agree with Penny... Was willing to pay whatever it cost to maintain system properly... Big fails in maintenance, prevention and initial install of system as pointed out by our current tech. Very upset with service and we learned the hard way through massive system fail in the middle of that horrendous winter. Seemed nice, just incompetent.

Horrible. Run far far far away! We paid to service boiler, have had repeated problems, couldn't understand why a newer "top of the line" boiler would constantly stop working. After this horrible winter - heat stopped and caused problems (luckily I had the water turned off; and damage was minimal but all avoidable): Three other companies told me furnace on top floor could have been saved if Anti-Freeze was put in the system (yet Mike never offered or asked after "so called servicing" knowing that it was a second home and we were over 1 1/2 hour away.
