Our property had a lot of brush and trees that were dangerously leaning to power lines or growing dangerously close to the house. Our main concern was fire hazard so we decided to hire professionals to clear the property and build a defensible fire line. Hilltop did an amazing job clearing out the brush, cutting down and trimming large trees and disposing of branches.
These guys were fast and had all the right heavy duty equipment to get the job done. They showed up right at 8:00 am with all the equipment ready to go. All of the guys were seasoned professionals, very friendly and super helpful. They even took the time out of their busy day to fix and sharpen my mom's small chain saw.

I called Hilltop on a suggestion from a neighbor. I had to call a couple times before I got a response. Never did answer my call. When he called back, he had his number blocked. Seriously, what business blocks their phone number when they call you back? He finally returned my call again. A week later. Sorry, if that’s the response I get when I’m trying to hire a person. What kind of response am I going to get if I have any issues after the fact?

Last winter a very large tree limb fell on my roof during a bad storm. I called Eric, the owner, and their crew came out very quickly to get the tree off the roof to prevent further damage. I wanted to make sure that I won't have any more problems this winter, so I called Eric again to trim several large trees near my house.
They came out this morning and worked all day to trim the trees safely. Much of the work could be done from a bucket but one of their workers, Dusty, was amazing at safely climbing a 70 foot (at least) tree to trim the top limbs. They chipped and cleaned up all the debris

Don't EVER use this company. They will leave a path of destruction just like a fire. They say they will trim/thin, but what they really mean is remove everything. Got carried away when trimming fruit trees, so much so, there was nothing left, so had to remove.
Worker first tried telling me the tree was bad, until I said no, because we it was full of fruit in summer. What was once beautiful landscaping, has been destroyed by this company.

This tree service is off the charts good. If Yelp had a 6th star they would get that! We had an urgent tree need and they were able to come in a timely manner, did more then we expected of them and were professional while here. Eric and Mark have a good crew of men that really knew what they were doing. We will continue to use them for future tree needs.

Sadly we lost a HUGE heritage oak on our property in the last storm. The tree had fallen towards the house but was stopped by another large oak. We needed to get it down fast and try and save as any of the other trees as we could.
I called and left a message. Eric called me back in about an hour and came right over to have a look. He gave me an estimate and had a crew out the following morning! The other day my neighbor was having work done by Hilltop. I took down their phone number as we need tree service as well. Later in the afternoon I went outside to kindly let them know that I was expecting company in an hour, and if they would please move their truck and brush in order for my guests to come up to my house. I said " excuse me" several times, and no one would answer me. While walking back towards my house to get my gate remote thinking they did not hear me I overheard an employee make some filthy remarks towards me. I came back outside and an employee was at his truck

Hilltop is the best tree service we've ever used! And, we've used quite a few around here. HILLTOP is amazing. We had a big, scary oak looming over our house. Eric came up to give us an estimate and it was clear he knew his business. His price was very reasonable, and his knowledge was far above the others that came out to bid on the job. The crew was so good- highly skilled, cheerful, polite, energetic... everything was just great. They got here exactly when they said they'd arrive. Outstanding! Eric, the owner, returned my call in 2 hour, his crew start working next day and in 3 days all my property was all trim and clean. Price was very reasonable. Eric was easy about few additional "here and there" that comes during this project. They are excellent workers and just all around helpful, good people. I highly recommend them and give 5 stars to each and every guy in that crew.

In February 2013, we hired this service to create a 100-foot defensible space around our home, remove a 25-foot dead pine tree, chip/shred the cuttings and buck any usable limbs or trunks to 16-inch lengths. Eric, the owner, provided us by email with a written bid for the work the day after seeing the job at hand. He and his foreman were back the day after we accepted the bid to mark out boundaries. He expected to finish the work in 2-3 days. His crew of 8 showed up exactly at 8:00 AM as promised, each day and ready to work on arrival. They finished the job in exactly 2-1/2 days as stated.
