A while back we asked for recommendations for someone to replace our deck, we just completed the project and would like to share an extremely positive recommendation for Tandem Construction in Morris Plains. If anyone is looking to have a deck built, please discuss the project with Tandem before you sign with someone else. This has been our experience once we decided to replace our old deck. We started with one independent contractor and after 8 months, we just couldn’t get a start date. We decided to call Tandem and ended up being the best call we could’ve made. Tandem did it again. Meticulous, punctual, and competitive pricing. We paid a little bit more to have a comprehensive team work together to create a beautiful deck. They used the most updated machinery and technology to ensure impeccable craftsmanship. Two retired family contractors commented on the quality of craftsmanship this team exhibited. Tandem was always responsive, they completed the work, and they cleaned up when they were finished. Beautiful addition to our home. You pay more for peace of mind.

Tandem remodeled 2 of our bathrooms recently. We were very impressed with these professionals, from Ryan working with us on planning out the scope of the project to Chris's crew doing the actual work. One bathroom updating, but the master bath required a complete gutting and renovation. The team at Tandem are great problem-solvers, perfectionists, and are really nice, decent people to do business with. After interviewing about 5 different contractors, we are so happy we hired them!

We had already used Tandem for a few minor projects at the house, but a few months back, we found ourselves in a position where we needed the main bathroom remodeled on an accelerated schedule. And that was how the project started...With absolutely nothing planned for the remodel other than saying the existing tub needed to be replaced with a walk-in shower (to accommodate physical limitations of a parent moving in with us), Tandem met with us, took the time to work through all the details with us, and the project started. They did such an amazing job on our kitchen remodel! It opened up our house so much and they made it exactly what we want, paying attention to every detail. Ryan and Chris are very easy to work with and always made sure we were happy with the work they did or they would change it to make sure we were! Everyone that sees our kitchen loves it as much as we do. I've shown pictures of my family that happen to be in the kitchen and have people saying "wow I love your kitchen!" Ryan of Tandem Contracting did an excellent job. This is the second time I have used Ryan, though this job was on a much larger scale. Once again Tandem Contracting filled all the requirements one might wish for in a contractor. He laid out and reviewed the plan for construction, used quality materials, arrived on time, proceeded in a timely manner, the project was completed on time and most importantly is exactly what we needed and expected. His price was reasonable and he left the work area clean. I would highly recommend and certainly I will use Tandem again.

Being first time homeowner's we were nervous getting work done but Ryan made the whole experience wonderful! He and his team are highly skilled, professional and provided a quality job in a short amount of time and at a fraction of the price that other companies quoted us. The gentlemen who own and operate Tandem Contracting are the utmost professionals I have ever worked with. They are efficient and conscientious in their work. They have literally rebuilt half of my home, since we moved in in 2011. You could not ask for more honest and trustworthy people to be in your home.
