The business was started in 1975 by Sheryl and her first husband, John Santi. Originally it was a part-time, weekend business. As more and more people asked for help, they bought a truck and the business began in earnest. Unfortunately, in 1986 John passed away. Sheryl chose to continue and grow the business.
Santi Express, a woman-owned business, is a boutique moving company focused on making the moving experience the best it can be for our customers. We can pack up the whole house, we can provide storage, and we also offer unpacking services, including taking away the boxes. We work with our customers to provide very personal service and take the stress out of moving.
Sheryl Santi is the president and co-founder of Santi Express. Her graduate degrees and experience in nursing and management have contributed to the growth and success of the company. This sets the tone for Sheryl and her staff to compassionately provide our clients with a pleasant moving experience.
Giving back to our community is a very important part of Santi Express's mission. Organizations we have helped include the American Cancer Society, Center for Safety and Change (formally Rockland Family Shelter), Camp Venture, United Hospice of Rockland County, Meals on Wheels, People to People, Hebrew Academy for Special Children, JCC of Rockland, and Jawonio.
Sheryl Santi wrote a featured article in Suffern Life Magazine, "Moving Forward to a New Home." Santi Express continues to fight hunger in America one move at a time. We encourage our customers to donate their non perishable food to our local pantry, "People to People, " when they relocate. Drop off food at their office, our office or we will pick them up on day of move and bring items over.

I have nothing but rave reviews for Santi Express! From meeting Sheryl at my moms townhouse to having her crew pack everything and move it, all within a 4 day period without as much as a hiccup. The office staff was friendly and very responsive as well. I would definitely use them for any future move I need, and 100% recommend Santi Express to anyone else looking for a reliable, responsible moving company.

If anyone would like proof that I am not someone who works for this company I have receipts. They have moved me 5 times in the past 10 years. They are the best of the best. Professional, dependent, accommodating and reasonably priced.

A family member hired them before a move and when they realized some if their things were missing they tried to place blame on other members of my family. Contacted the owner and was told no boxes were missing. Meanwhile most of my glassware , a set of samurai swords,crystal belonging to my deceased mother and numerous other items were also missing. Make sure if you use this company you have proof if items packed. I now have nothing of my mothers and my feeling is it was just dismissed. Be very careful when using this company

Moving after years of living in one home can and often is a trying, nerve wrecking experience. However having Patrick, Mickey, Rashaun, for our crew made matters so much easier. Their timely arrival, attention to detail and care in handling our "treasures" was a welcome relief in what can be a trying day. I wrote a review of Santis Xpress almost a year ago and feel compelled to write again as a warning to potential customers. One year later and I am still finding broken as well as missing items from my move. The loss and destruction of many sentimental, beautiful items are still affecting me a year later. Once again my advice is to avoid using this company if you value your possessions. They come across as caring, and concerned, but their movers are negligent and have no regard for your belongings. In addition do not expect to be compensated for their carelessness, and disregard of you the customer

Had a terrible experience with this company. All they care about is themselves. I moved from California to Connecticut and stored my items with them for 2 years. Big bill. They never even called to see how things went. They damaged my moldings but didn't care. I'm still living with a moth problem that was acquired while in their storage warehouse. They called to make sure that their owner would have a convenient place to park when coming to give an estimate but not to see how my very expensive move went?? That says a lot. Would not recommend them ever.

We used Santi Express to move from New York to Connecticut. The office staff was wonderful-Kathy and Robin were patient and helpful with every step of the move-scheduling, packing suggestions, supplying packing materials. Sheryl Santi REALLY knows her stuff and the estimate was on target. But the true gems were the five men on our team for both days-Don, TJ, Pat, Mickey and Al. They were fast, careful and truly moving experts. No damage. No time wasted. No lunch breaks. Great to work with and a pleasure to have met.

Of all the moving companies, I picked the worst, Santi Express. I was assured that my belongings would stay on the truck and not be moved during the in between time of moving out and moving in. Of course when it came down to the day, the truck needed to be used in advance of my move in, and some things were taken off the truck and put into their storage facility. Santi Express failed to follow thru on their order of service AFTER they received my payment. 48 hours prior to moving, plans changed and NO ONE TOOK RESPONSIBILITY. I did not even get an apology.
After months of wanting a stress free move, Santi Express did the opposite and made my move an awful experience.
My car sat in a lot for over a week because they did not schedule it properly. I paid a ridiculous amount of money and was taken advantage of.

Santi Express moved me two weeks ago and did a superb job. First they sent a team of expert packers to pack art, glass and fragile items. There was a long day of moving out of my house, and a longer day of moving to the new one, with several subsidiary stops along the way. The men were very professional, very considerate and kind, and in spite of the fatigue and confusion (inflicted by me) they kept their cool, and did a wonderful job, My belongings were treated with respect and care, as was I. Although the 2 young men who were the obvious underlings and order-takers worked as hard and fast as they could unloading our belongings at our house in Nyack on August 6, the crew foreman (a much older man) constantly complained to us about our "big furniture" which had been moved from Ohio where the doorways and halls were larger than NY homes. He also constantly belittled his two hard-working helpers and even mocked them, calling them "weaklings" in our presence!
