Homestead Roofing

Gene the owner I guess came to my house and refuse to go inside to measure windows, yet send an estimate without measuring anything. When asked , he said if anything is find wrong when installing windows , additional charges will be added. He wants a sign contract with a lot of legal stipulations and 33% down payment without looking at the actual windows , frames and or given an exact quote. Guy is vague not sure how he is still in business.

We were away (in Florida) and our rental property in Mahwah had a leak in the primary bedroom. As soon as we heard from our tenant, we reached out to several roofing companies and heard back from Homestead right away.
Within 24 hours they came, assessed the problem and gave us an estimate. Although some subsequent weather delayed the process initially, they were prompt and true to their word on when they could get the work done. A follow up rainstorm showed that there were some other missed issues (it’s an older house), and again within 24 hours they came back and fixed the rest of it.

I had gutter replaced by Homestead roofing and since it was installed there is a problem when it rains. It is extremely difficult to have them come to see problem and when they come they just deny deny that it is problem. I had no problem before they changed my gutter. Homestead guy kept on making non logical excuses when problem was discussed and when I raised little bit of my voice as he did not want to acknowledge problem, he just left with excuse that I had raised my voice. This is the company I will never recommend to anybody. Also, their advertisement is false, they do not support their work

I have now used Homestead twice in 3 years for roof repairs and I cannot say enough about their quality of work. 3 years ago I had a leak above my sliding glass door. I had two roofing companies come and fix two separate areas of the roof and both did not work and cost an arm and a leg. I called Homestead for an estimate and what they thought it was and I showed them what was repaired already. They immediately knew the issue and had it fixed within 48 hours. They are prompt and responsive for the initial installation. The problem begins when you need a repair. Phone calls are not returned and verbal promises are not kept. What good is their warrenty if they won't make the repair? Unfortunately I cannot recommend them.

Really impressed by the service I received from Homestead Roofing on fixing my roof. Quick service. Quality materials and they did a good job of cleaning up when they were completed with the job. They advertise free estimates but wanted to charge me $400.00 to quote me on my roof project since it was from a blueprint. Couldn’t even quote using a pdf of my blueprint, they needed a physical set. Wouldn’t come to the house to quote the project. I’m in the construction industry myself, this is unheard of these days. Ten years I have been in business, both residential and commercial construction, I have never charged a penny for a estimate/proposal. I found other contractors that provided truly free quotes and had the means to scale off of a pdf or at least were willing to take it upon

I called two days ago my roof was leaking. It had leaked on a Sunday called on Monday got threw to someone and I gave them my number and address they said someone would call. Monday late afternoon still hadn't heard from them. On Tuesday we were expecting heavy rain so I called again. I was told took 24 to 48 hours for them to get back to me. Tuesday we had bad rain but the roof did not leak thank God. I think it was because on Monday I got on a ladder and cleaned my gutters out. I never got a call back from them and today is Wednesday. If they call me I'm going to give them a piece of my mind

15 years of prompt, professional and fairly priced service! Dependable and prompt to respond and their crews are top quality craftsmen.....especially Greg and Mark, who completed venting installation yesterday. I only hope I can find someone this dependable in Florida. Great company!
