Dave Richards, owner and operator of Summit Contractors, has been building custom homes for over 40 years. He started working with his father and brothers in the Island Park, Idaho area as a young child. From those experiences, he developed a keen eye for detail, and substantial knowledge on how to build things that last.
In 1996, after graduating with a bachelor in construction management from ISU, he moved to Heber City, Utah where he has utilized those skills ever since. His past in a family- run business has motivated him to keep his own family involved in Summit Contractors as well. Taylor, Dave's oldest son, has followed in his footsteps and is now a major part of the Summit operation.
Dave and Taylor share rolls that include project management, bidding, accounting, client relations, and everything in between. Like Dave, Taylor was also raised up in the business. Working closely with Dave, he learned to develop a keen eye for detail, quality, craftsmanship, and the appreciation of being involved and hands on through the building process.

Remodel - If your vision is to remodel, or create an addition to an existing property, our process together starts here. We walk through your vision with you onsite, to help determine the scope of work, brainstorm any new ideas, and discover any limitations that may be present.
If you are considering building a home in the Heber/Park City area, you would be wise to talk to Summit. Dave and Taylor are the best contractors in the area. Great local company very knowledgeable about the projects they take on from start to finish. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Top notch quality and craftsmanship every corner you look around. I would recommend Summit Contractors 10/10 times for any project you want to look back on and say, I’m glad we chose quality and professionalism over anything else.

We were so blessed and thankful to have Summit Contractors take on our project ! They were knowledgeable and very helpful with our remodel project - Honest, trustworthy, dependable, integrity, knowledgeable, professional, diligent, reliable and high quality craftsmanship are just a few words I could use to describe Summit Contractors. We truly loved working with them so much that we are looking to build a dream Mountain home from the ground up using Summit Contractors.
