Hatheway Design

Mom was an interior designer and Dad was a mechanical engineer. I think this upbringing has served me well. I was introduced from my first days on this earth to great design. My love for good design, in all of its forms, has led me to study not just interior design, but also architecture, gardens, graphic design, furniture design and the histories of those fields.

While I focus on interior design and remodeling, this knowledge of complimentary fields allows me to create more interesting and cohesive environments. I enjoy the analytical process of taking an existing space and combining it with the desires of my clients. I also enjoy that moment when you realize that all of the elements - the structure, furniture, lighting, textures, etc. - have come together to create something much greater than their individual parts.
