K2 Construction is driven to deliver the highest quality in the construction industry on every project, which is accomplished through its professional employees, dedicated staff and sincere commitment to safety and efficiency. K2 Construction was founded in 2001 and is locally owned and operated in Lincoln, Nebraska.
K2 Construction currently employs more than 90 individuals and continues to grow each year. We believe in a family environment for our employees and take pride in cultivating personal relationships with everyone on our team. This comes through in our customer interactions and many of our returning customers will ask for our foreman by name.
K2 Construction has two concrete divisions. The first is a flatwork division which specializes in concrete removal and replacement on grade. This type of work consists of sidewalks, curbs, handicap ramps, concrete base and any other concrete that is poured on the ground. The second devision is a vertical concrete division which specializes in concrete box culverts, pump stations, inlet construction and many other structures.
K2 is an industry leader in hydro excavation, which is the use of pressurized water to emulsify dirt and a high power vacuum to remove water and dirt. We can safely expose underground utilities with no digging or risk of damaging the underground utility. Hydro Excavation is non-mechanical, non-destructive and can safely expose buried utilities whether they are energized or de-energized.
A geothermal system circulates a water-based solution through a buried loop system to take advantage of the more constant temperatures found underground. A single piece of equipment has the ability to heat and cool your home, while providing some or all of your home's hot water. Geothermal systems can save you 30-70% on your monthly utility bills.
