Services
Allred's Floor Service has been servicing wood floors in central Illinois since my grandfather, Ellis Allred, started the business in 1939. Training his four sons, Jay, Alan, John, and Mark along the way. Ellis started out while employed at the Hillyard Company as one of the first wood floor experts, on the huge floors that came about after basketball gymnasiums became popular.
Allred's Floor Service has specialized in gym floors since the beginning, servicing central and southern Illinois. Whether your gym floor is damaged or just time for a change we can sand your floor down to raw wood and make it look brand new again. We consult with our customers to gain an understanding of what they would like to see out of their project.
Acclimation to the environment: The wood needs to be in the home prior to installation for several days to acclimate to its lived in environment, meaning the heating and air is consistent like the conditions would be while someone is living there. Sub-floor preparation, undercutting door casings, and trim work, and stone surrounds.

These guys are jerks. Very unprofessional and smug. They did some floors outside of my office. Over the lunch hour, they turned their pails upside down, sat on them and belched the entire time. I asked if their lunch was good and they happily said yes, I then told them this is an office environment. They smiled, said nothing and continued with their belching and other bodily noises. Like petulant children, these jerks continued the behavior, laughed, and even escalated it. The boss is here, and said absolutely nothing.
