Mitch started his apprenticeship with his father at the age of 15 where he was taught many valuable skills, and acquired a great deal of knowledge. He has continued throughout the years to hone his residential remodeling and custom home building skills. Expanding into commercial renovations, and excelling in creating beautiful hand crafted interiors & exteriors.

Our first association with MDS Remodeling was approximately 10 years ago when we replaced the original-construction single-pane windows on our patio with Marvin windows. As the installer, we found MDS personnel to be meticulous craftsmen, neat, and easy to work with. A few years later, when we opted to replace our living room windows with much larger Marvin windows, based upon our prior experience, we specifically requested the supplier to use MDS on that installation as well with similar results.

I was introduced to Mitch Shepheard of MDS remodel through David Heide Design Studios. They chose Mitch to work on my 1940 historic home in Minnetonka remodel and restoration. What started out as an average house remodel turned into quite an extensive remodel due to my adding on to the project, and Mitch was there every step of the way. The craftsmanship and the detail that Mitch and his crew put into my home Is absolutely beautiful. Mitch was there to answer any questions and gave me great advice as the project moved along. My kitchen is stunning, the fireplace is unbelievable, the wood floors
