Absolutely thrilled with this business. Quality people, quality service! We were very happy with the response time, communication through the entire process, skill & expertise with the tree removal, stump grinding and immaculate clean-up, both at our home in Iowa City and at my sister-in-law's in Cedar Rapids. A++ experience with Custom Tree Service. They responded to messages promptly, showed up when they said they would, gave an accurate estimate, and provided regular updates during the tree removal process. Best of all, despite very limited access to the dead tree due to its awkward location, the crew safely and completely removed it without any damage to our yard or the surrounding plants. And they did a complete cleanup afterwards! We will definitely be sticking with Custom Tree for all future tree pruning and/or removals.

Jason and his crew were great. He was very responsive when we were first looking for a contractor and when we discussed what we wanted he wasn’t pushy and was upfront about pricing. He showed up when he said he would, did great work and cleaned up nicely after. I would definitely recommend them for any tree service needs.

I yelp messaged and Facebook messaged around 20 different tree removal places in my area. This company responded fast and came to quote the job fast. 3 other companies also responded quickly and came over to view the dead tree for a quote. Of those 3, only one other company followed up with a quote saying it was too risky of a job to take on. Jason at custom tree service answered all my questions and performed the job exactly as he said he would, on time. May I mention that he provided next day service. The dead tree was huge and at the base of a hill. He also removed the stump. I feel

I had had several estimates to remove a tree from my back yard. Jason gave me a reasonable bid. After a couple of visits the crew showed up to start the work. He claimed the delay was due to personnel issues. He didn't have enough help to do the work.
The crew worked for four hours the first day. At 1pm I asked them if they were coming back and they said that his employees didn't want to work anymore. The work was less than half done.
The next day, the crew returned to complete the work. The tree was removed without much incident.
