Hand sketches are still drawn in initial meetings; however, most sophisticated work today is done using AutoCAD(R). Years of training and practical experience enable what can be conceived in the mind of the client and designer to be expertly drawn on the computer screen. Given a basic idea of your needs (and any sketches you may have) We can turn them into a full set of working drawings, down to the last details.
In addition to custom handcrafted furniture, Rapaport Designs offers CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machining to all of Western Massachusetts. If it can be designed, we can machine it for you. CNC machining is not only faster and more accurate than what can be done by hand, but it makes it as easy to cut a curve as it is to cut straight lines, revolutionizing the kinds of shapes that can be produced.
