For as long as he can remember, Kitchen Expressions founder Steven Naphtali has always liked working with his hands. He spent his teenage years in lumber yards creating beautiful pieces for friends and family, constantly learning from those who made it their life's work. Steven found a special sense of pride and joy in creating something that involved a unique level of craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Founded by Phares Rutt in 1951, in Goodville, Pennsylvania, Rutt HandCrafted Cabinetry has set the standard for luxury custom cabinetry for more than 60 years and created a unique position as the manufacturer of high-end custom cabinetry. Signature Custom Cabinetry was founded in 1989 by the Martin brothers whose grandfather taught them the time-honored art of woodworking in his Lancaster County wood shop. For some reason, I asked this establishment if they were familiar with having someone panel my existing kitchen appliances since the kind of woodworking we have, unfortunately cannot be painted over so the only option we have to modernize, is to add paneling. The service lady was rude and not helpful. She didn’t give me any suggestions on what else I could do, or even a contractor I could use for appliance paneling. She just said no offense but you should try Home Depot. That’s a laughable response for a multi million dollar home kitchen. Lol. I’m still laughing, but just shocked at the response

We gutted a 1926 colonial home and wanted the kitchen to really stand out. Hiring Linda and Kitchen Expressions to design my kitchen was the best decision of my renovation!
Linda is the ultimate professional. She is knowledgeable, thorough, and has a great sense of space and style. My kitchen is magazine-worthy! Even my contractor's workers would randomly comment on how beautiful it is and compliment the workmanship of KE's installers. They also gave me this stunning kitchen and stayed within my budget (which Linda bent over backward to make happen). I wouldn't change a thing about my experience

Hands down the greatest construction experience one could ask for! From the moment I walked in the showroom to the day my renovation was complete, every conversation and detail was thoughtful, professional and added value. There were no surprises, missed deadlines or hidden costs. They were able to create every custom item I asked for and accommodate all of my "add-on" projects during construction. Everyone I have referred to Kitchen Exoressions has had the same first class experience!

I would highly recommend Kitchen Expressions. Working with Steve is easy and he truly tries to understand what your are looking for. He has done our kitchen, basement and four bathrooms and we love them all and never any problems. Frank from CCBF and his team are terrific. They workers are friendly and neat and very accommodating and keep to schedule.

When we made the decision to renovate our kitchen, we interviewed a number of potential designers and contractors. We had an immediate connection with Steven Naphtali from Kitchen Expressions. Although my husband and I were in agreement on the general concept, there were elements that were more important to each of us. Steven did an amazing job of incorporating all of those desires. Steven Naphtali and his team of expert craftspeople designed and installed a spectacular kitchen in my New York City apartment. The design and layout of the cabinetry completely enhanced the look, feel and utility of my small kitchen - it is become the focal point of my apartment! His tradespeople were meticulous and extremely courteous and were very respectful when working in my home. They arrived as scheduled every day and worked hard to get my project completed on time. When set out to renovate my kitchen, I knew it would be a challenge to create a beautiful, efficient workspace, because the room is fairly small. To get it right would require excellent design skills. Fortunately, my sister in law in NYC had worked with Steven Naphtali, the owner of Kitchen Expressions of Short Hills, and was very impressed. Working with Kitchen Expression was a pleasure. By far the most creative design and knowledge of everyday life using your kitchen. Steven Naphtali not only designed the kitchen, but also my master bathroom. Steven is master and a perfectionist, clear on the process and set the expectation. His installers are masters of their trade, especially dealing with these old homes. Construction has so many moving parts and delays, but Steven and his Team were exceptional and I can't wait to use them on my next project.

This is a review from work in 2003. Using Kitchen Expressions was one of the 5 worst experiences of my life. They (Sol Kassorla, Steven Naphtali) promised to take care of everything for us. Sol is everything that is bad with the stereotypical contractor. Our costs just kept escalating. We had put a large portion of the money down and then Sol Kassorla (the builder/contractor) tells us that it will be thousands more for an architectural drawing for town hall as needed for a permit. He was your standard contractor sleazeball. His workers showed up without tools and used mine. The new kitchen floor

My experience with Kitchen Expressions was fantastic. I gave Steven Naphtali some complex functional requirements and a long wish list and I got the kitchen of my dreams! His attention to detail, responsiveness,and follow-through was impressive. And his contractor, Frank Appice and his crew, were phenomenal as well. Aside from a beautifully designed kitchen with really cool cabinets to enhance efficiency and space, it was done in time. They promised 4-5 weeks and my kitchen was basically done in 4 1/2 weeks. I cannot say enough good things about Kitchen Expressions, and neither can all the friends

Exceptional work by Steve Naphtali.(the owner)...he's crazy precise with his math and pragmatic design and works within our budget. He also explains thoroughly in his down-to earth way why one costs more than the other and the quality of the items. Expect to sit with him on several working sessions. It's worth it since it's a huge investment.
Cabinetry he offers are by Rutt, Sokee, and Millbrook (what we got)...great quality cabinetry. We asked him to design our kitchen but he also does office and bathroom cabinetry. He also sells appliances and contracts work for installation
