We saw an ad in our local paper about Sunsetter awnings. We had one at a previous home and phoned to inquire. We were surprised the business was in Brockport, nearly a 2 hour drive from us. Mr. Lemke was easy to deal with on the phone and sent us a catalog and a number of emails with choices. We sent a photo of our deck electronically to be sure we got the right kind of mount. We were told it would take 4-6 weeks for our order to be delivered. After 6 weeks I emailed to see what the deal was. A subcontractor called that evening to set an installation appointment in two days. Two workers

Honesty wish I could give them 0 stars. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM THEY ARE SCHISTERS. They take advantage of the elderly and do not answer their phones after half finishing jobs. This is the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. They’re quick to take your money but only do half the work and never answer your phone calls. I am absolutely disgusted by the actions of this so called business. I will be reporting them to the better business bureau. He also keeps changing his phone number so I can’t get ahold of him.

After speaking with Mr. Lemke regarding our previous verbal agreement, it was explained to me that his subcontractor refused to honor our prior agreement. Therefore, I retract previous negative review, and will replace it with a five star review of work performed by Semco Construction installing our Sunsetter Awning in a timely manner.
Being a business owner, I truly can sympathize with knowing how difficult it is to find consistent good help.

Where are all the low score reviews?? i finally found this site where i could write a complaint after years of stewing about it. yes, it seemed like a nice company to work with until they showed up to do the job. the older man installing the windows complained it was too difficult to do the job at my house. then later on (2 yrs later) when one of the windows arm-mechanisms broke, semke came and looked at it and then was no more to be found. he never offered to fix it, complained it wasn't his responsibility to fix it, said it wasn't part of the warranty even tho he stated the windows were good

They replaced a sliding glass door that had been leaking after a botched roofing job. Not only did they replace the door and fix the gutter above it, they replaced and fixed the wood around it. They were so good at explaining everything, helping us understand the process. The craftsmanship is great and so far everything is holding up through the winter! Thanks for a great repair, replacement, and service!

We had Semco install new gutters, two new windows and had the eaves of the house flashed. The work was done in a professional manner, the results are no more leaky drafts around the windows. The old gutters were 60 years old and aluminum which leaked at the joints. Now there are seamless ones and with the vinal flashing around the house it really looks sharp.Semco is the way to go and we will look to them in the near future.
