Kevin and his Plattypus team did an outstanding job of remodeling my small kitchen, in spite of the ongoing restrictions of the pandemic. Kevin took care of all necessary permits, was mindful of the rules and concerns of the building management company so I had no worries. Once they got the okay to begin the project, the job was completed in a timely manner and I am very happy with the results and the quality of the work. I appreciate the professionalism of those working in my condo, always arriving exactly on time, cleaning up thoroughly before they left, and keeping me informed of their progress

Kevin and his colleagues at Plattypus gutted our home in the South End in Boston taking it from a classic brownstone design to a modern one. We were most impressed by the craftsmanship of the work, the ownership and pride everyone at Plattypus (including contractors) took in the project, and the responsiveness of Kevin, who was always quick to return emails and texts when concerns or questions arose. Sought out a local contractor to construct a temporary support structure for a failing garage header that had a large stone facade. Appeared to be very meticulous in his work along with consulting our engineer when the header had gotten worse than when first assessed. We had a few set backs with the town but Kevin put in extra time to resolve and update us with the issues. None of the large stones that were removed or existing stones broke during the removal process. Easy to work with and extremely prompt in addressing emails. In June, after moving to Boston, I purchased a two-level garden unit in a south end brownstone. The place was in pretty bad shape. No, check that, in God-awful shape, as the previous owner was an elderly chain smoker and a cat owner who had the place for nearly twenty years.
