Mike Downs is building fences because he wants to, not because he has to. In an industry dominated by cheap, subcontracted (and often illegal and uninsured) labor, Mike's been proudly doing his own work for years. While other fence contractors are building fences for the money, Mike's building chain link, wood privacy, and wrought iron fences because of the joy it gives him to serve his community.

We needed 95 feet of 6 foot wood fencing along the property line of our back yard. Although this is a smaller job for Mike, he took it on. He did a fantastic job on the fence. He explained the materials he was going to use, explained how he was going to install it, and gave us a realistic timeline on when it would be completed. The fence was completed early and on budget, to the penny. Mike is truly honest, integral, professional, and when you meet him you'll find out he's a sincerely nice guy. Mike Downs tore down and rebuilt a new wooden fence for me. He was professional, precise and pleasant to work with throughout the entire process. I really like how he pays attention to details. Worked with Mike this month on getting a chain link fence in our front yard and a wood fence in the backyard. Both fences were up in about a week once they started, and both look great. We recently purchase a cabin property near Lake Texoma and hired Mike to install 100+ feet of fencing along the marina road (to block headlight traffic). His pricing was fair and upfront (with all options being clearly explained). The outcome was better than expected and the workmanship outstanding. We will not hesitate to hire him again.
