After receiving her degree in Interior Design from Baylor University in 1999, she continued to hone her design skills and knowledge working with well-respected design influencers in the Dallas design community before opening House of Amelia.

This lovely home was designed by an architect and took several years to come together. From ground up design and space planning concepts to the selection of interior finished custom millwork, tile designs and lighting, every detail was thought about and given attention. This client wanted to create a warm and inviting home for his family and friends.
Amy Thomasson, along with twenty other top Dallas interior designers participated in The Dallas Symphony Orchestra League Fall 2010 City Living Tour at The House in Victory Park, a designer showhouse in a high rise setting. A fabulous venue with spectacular views from the 18th floor, the showhouse included five unique residential units that make up the tour.
Thrift Studio is a not-like-any-other-thrift-store THRIFT STORE. Thrift Studio is a bi-annual 30 day pop-up shop created to provide financial viability and fundraising for Dwell with Dignity through selling the overstock of donated, gently used furniture, housewares, accessories and high end designer finds to the public.
This client wanted a really comfortable and contemporary second home. Their main home in Annapolis Maryland is a lovely traditional home that reflects the wife's personal taste in artwork and design. For this second home the husband got to flex his design muscles and create a warm home that reflected his personal interest in vintage and modern design.
