Overhead Door Company of Clearwater was started in 1984 as a part of Yakle Lumber in Palm Harbor, FL. In 1994, before selling the lumber yard, the Stolze Family spun off the garage door company and relocated it to Clearwater. In 2000, we bought a well-known garage door company in Hudson, established a greater presence in West Pasco and Hernando and set up shop in Hudson as Overhead Door of Port Richey.

I never take time to write a bad review, but I feel obligated to do so here so no one gets taken advantage of like we did. Stacy scheduled us a service call without disclosing how much it would be. We assumed a typical fair rate for someone to take a look. Brian, the technician, who was actually very nice and the only positive experience through this ordeal, diagnoses (doesn't fix due to lack of parts) the problem in under 10 minutes.
He then hands us a $140 invoice from their office. $140 is apparently what they charge for a service call, but this was never disclosed to us. We call

I thought it’s a big established company. My NEW garage opener, a few months old, (top of the line with WiFi app) is not working properly (light will not come on), I called, the owner answer (very small company), they will not service it. If I could give zero stars for costumer service, I would. The reason I gave 2 stars is because it still works and actually open the garage door. Bad installation no service. Be ware!!!
