The name says it all. This roofing system is built up using multiple layers normally consisting first of a 75 lb base sheet either nailed or mopped to the roof deck depending on the deck type. Second two plies of GAF Ply 4 fiberglass are hot mopped over base sheet with hot asphalt. Last but not least a mineral surface cap sheet or mineral surface modified bitumen is mopped over the fiberglass using hot asphalt.

Jason at Harptop Roofing is a phenomenal contractor. He made the process of getting my roof repaired a breeze. He gave all prices (reasonable) up front, personally came to my home to get all the paper-work done, and handled all interactions with Miami-Dade permitting. He was always in communication via phone or text and always let me know if something was holding him back. He corrected all issues without problems. I would wholly recommend Jason and Hardtop Roofing to anyone.

Waited two weeks for estimate (understandable due to recent hurricane). However, no one shows up at scheduled appt time nor calls. We call and they say they had "called but had a wrong number". We give them correct number and reschedule for next day and again no call and no show. Two days of missed work for nothing. I do not recommend.

I wish I could say the same as the previous review! Contacted this roofing company on 2/3/16 and Jason stated he would be coming by on 2/4/16 and he called me the morning of the appt to reschedule for the following day which was fine. On 2/5/16, he called and stated that he couldn't make it again but I understood because he had an emergency. He rescheduled for 2/9/16 at 11 am. It is now 5:20 pm on 2/9/16 and I haven't even received a phone call. I didn't even try calling again because I don't think I'd like to work with a company like this anyways.

It's VERY rare to find extremely talented, honest, fairly priced roofing companies. I called 4 different roofing companies. One stood me up for the appointment. One came by and gave me a ridiculously overpriced estimate. The next came by and was nice enough and suggested the work was easy enough that I could do myself, then proceeded to offer me an overpriced estimate for the work. The last was Hardtop Roofing. BEST experience ever. Jason Garcia was a professional businessman from the start. He came by to examine my roof leak as well as the other work I needed done. He provided a very fair estimate

It's been six months since Jason and his terrific team of workers replaced our roof. Although we have had extremely wet weather since, the roof has no leaks.
Every step of the process was done in a methodical and efficient manner. I appreciate that he didn't rush the work when the roof was wet, but waited for it to dry so that it would adhere properly.
It is rare that I am totally satisfied with home improvement projects, but I can honestly say that his team is tops!! So if you're looking for quality at a competitive price give him a call.

"This was my first experience replacing a roof. I was looking for a roofing contractor in miami that I could trust. I was reffered to Hardtop Roofing. I couldn't be happier with the way my roof came out. They where very professional, always on time and left the job site cleaned up at the end of every work day.
