Long Distance Movers STAY AWAY FROM THESE CROOKS
Capital One Vanlines only care about is stealing as much money they can from you by charging excessive last minute/ unagreed fees, treating your belongings as trash, and dealing with their-way of the highway attitude.
Last winter had to relocate out-of-state Michigan due to work, and by doing some research I ended up selecting Long Distance Movers. Everything went well until I realized Long Distance Movers outsourced the transportation service and ended up dealing with Capital One Vanlines (COV), who don't own their fleet but rent whatever

An update to my review: They delivered our stuff after 40 days!!! We lived in an empty apartment for 40 days!!! It was unbelievable!!!
The only good thing is that we got our stuff in a good shape, nothing broken or damaged or stolen. The only broken furniture was our shoe wrack which is OK. The company was supposed to give us money back (around $50) because the guy packed our stuff broke the fan in our old apartment. They never did! Although I called them several times and did the related paper works.
Overall, they are unreliable and rude persons. The whole experience with long distance movers

quoted me less and later on estimate went off more then double. They did not even disassemble my furniture. The boxes packed were half empty so they could charge me for extra.. i had to manually fill them up after lot of hours of fighting.
Even if you get a higher quote do it from somewhr else. They are very unprofessional. Saw them placing my lamp alongwith its paper shade and bulb all attached into the box.
Forget professionals, they need to goto school to learn how to work.

This company is a broker. They do not do the moving. That being said, they have no clue what the movers they contract out to are doing.
When my husband called, they gave him an estimate delivery date of 7-9 days. I packed the house according to that timeframe. When the subcontracted movers arrived, they gave me a time frame of 14-21 days. They had already received our deposit and felt like our hands were tied.

WARNING DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. First this company doesn't move anything. They are a broker. They contract with a company that picks up your things. Puts it in a warehouse, who in turn contracts with a trucker heading to the city your moving to. (3 companies) You provide them with a list of the items your shipping and they give you an estimate. In my case $7,000 to move from Seattle to Phoenix. You pay a down payment and they pickup your things. Then once gone you get the final cost in my case $13,700. If you want your items you pay the remainder before they will unload.

Im an EA to a CEO and he was relocating to NY. The moving company they partnered me with was very responsive they said it would take 5-8 days to deliver and on day 7 they called to confirm the deliver. They helped me place the boxes in the correct rooms to unload and they had even taped up some boxes that had opened during the move. They onlt reason I gave them a 4 star is because of the hidden fee in the contract that I had ti tip them! I should of read through it and they made a minor scratch

This company, Long Distance Movers, was super easy to work with! The estimator was on point to ask exactly how much I had and explained all the costs and worked fast to get me a quote. I was sent a text with all the info right after I got off the phone with the estimator too, very helpful!

I wanted to share my first impression of the company. I somehow accidentally signed up while researching a quote for moving companies and have been inundated with multiple calls from multiple places. One of them is Long Distance Movers, they called me yesterday but did not leave a VM- that's the first sign of sketchiness. I recently used Long Distance Movers to relocate to a new city and the service was great!
I absolutely hate packing (the worst thing about moving IMO) and I was hyped that LDR did that for me! Everything was packed with care. All fragile items were wrapped up, all furniture was draped with a protective cloth.
I felt that LDM went above and beyond anything I expected. I wasn't sure they would be able to accommodate my request with such short notice, and during the summer. But they swiftly scheduled me in, got everything moved and unloaded within my time frame!
I would 100% recommend LDM

This company delivered exceptional service during a tough situation and I wanted to leave a review detailing my experience. When my friend moved away, I had to move his belongings out of his home and into mine. Since I was working full time, moving the stuff on my own was not an option. Well I must certainly say that the stress of renovating a house to put on the market is overwhelming (I live in a 4,000 sq. ft 2 story home with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Only one can imagine how many boxes I had) Long Distance Movers definitely made the process a breeze for me.
They handled my belongings with care especially my collectible items. As a friendly gesture one of the guys named Chris helped with boxing up some of my fragile items without being charged extra. (Having them box your stuff is extra so be aware of pricing!)

These guys are amazing! I had my first move to another state so I needed a good mover, I called Long distance movers and their price was very reasonable. They did all the right things a good moving company does. Their men were efficient and caring with our stuff. My big furniture fit in their truck easily.

My move with Long Distance Movers was heartbreaking. All of my furniture was destroyed. If you don't get all the information you need from my pictures attached, I'm happy to spend a few minutes trying to talk you out of working with this company. They are genuinely that bad at their job. Spend a few minutes reading the other negative reviews as well and believe them.
