We had two PODS delivered to our new house and didn't want to mess with having to unload them as we were painting and doing other things. Shawn from the moving company showed up with his partner and they had both of our PODS unloaded in less than 2 hours! They were extremely friendly and hardworking.

I was able to get The Moving Company scheduled on semi-short notice as the closing for our old house was moved up. The crew that came was great, they were able to get in and move out the items we had identified faster than they had expected and they took great care to make sure that everything was done right so there was no damage or loss of any of the items. The prep information was great, and my estimate came in right on the number. I will definitely be using them again when our new house is completed.

There were so many things wrong with the move for my mother, I’ll stick with what I feel are the most concerning.
Deposit paid $430
•6/7 Movers showed up with three trucks(needed one and they sent an extra in case) The other truck went to the wrong house.
• reschedule due to weather and two guys show up.
• once loaded, the truck wouldn’t start and didn’t start after truck unloaded at new house. My husband had to get jumper cables and help.
At the end of move, my husband and I are unloading as the two movers were exhausted doing the work of 6.
• realized they charged credit card

I was greatly disappointed in the service I received. Service promised in my estimate was not what I received. As well as several hundred dollars more than what was quoted. I understand an estimate won't always be exactly what the end cost is. However, an estimate for $650 and having to pay almost a $1000 is a big difference. The guy apologized multiple times and told me not to worry that he was sure the one who did the estimate would be fired for the errors that were made. Had the help of moving by Tim and Michael, speed is an understatement!!! Got everything done in a great amount of time! 10/10 would recommend. There was one down side to this move.. ONE day prior to the move, I was told that my 75” TV would not be moved unless I boxed, padded and wrapped it myself after being promised by a sales representative that there would be no problem with them providing a box and necessary equipment to have it moved.

Great experience! This was a new experience for me as I have never used a moving company before. After some research and reading reviews, I chose to go with The Moving Company. The sales manager, Mike House, provided me with an accurate estimate and answered my questions thoroughly. Both he, and the crew (Tim and Michael) did a great job communicating with me throughout the entire process. Our furniture was well secured and padded during transport and arrived in perfect condition. I appreciate the great service.

Brandon and Geoff helped move a gun safe, sectional, and two dressers out of our basement today. They were very nice, friendly, careful, professional, and moved this stuff like it was weightless. They even loaded it on our trailer nice and neatly. I highly recommend The Moving Company for any of your moving needs. This was the first time we used a moving company to move us to another house. We were very impressed with the guys from The Moving Company. Customer service was off the charts. The guys kept asking questions about what needed to be moved and took great care with each piece/box in loading and unloading. We would recommend this company to all. Clayton, Issac, Adam, Mark, Geoff, Zachary and Brandon made our move a pleasant experience instead of a stressful one.

I've been a realtor in Springfield since 1998 and only recommend the best companies to my friends and clients and I tell them to use The Moving Company. You judge a service business by how committed they are to great customer service! You judge a person by how they treat you when there is nothing "in it" for them. I called looking for movers and Will answered. TMC was booked the day I needed help. Instead of hanging up Will indulged my questions and recommended someone who could help me. I called and I got my movers. TMC will always be my first call from here on out!

I chose this moving company for a basic 3 bed 2 bath local move because of it's high Google reviews...better than any other moving company in my area. Unfortunately, my experience with them did not warrant the same high review. It was a bad experience, primarily due to poor management and planning on their part. I was not provided with the number of movers that I was told when I spoke with the manager on the phone just the day before. I recently used THE MOVING CO. of Springfield MO for a move I was doing from Nixa Missouri to another city. In Nixa, I hired them to help load the moving container that was parked in my driveway. That day, during the loading, many mistakes were made - some known to me, others unknown. Later, after delivery and unloading (different city), I was able to assess the overall situation, and documented everything with photographs. Moving is almost always a stressful experience for me, but I sure am glad that we went with The Moving Company on our recent move. Moving can be such a stressful event. We chose The Moving Company to help us. We are so glad we did. They told us they would arrive at 8 am. They arrived right on time. We were greeted by Travis and Nate. Travis greeted us with a great smile and asked if we were excited that it was moving day. Travis and Nate were enthusiastic and very personable. This is a great small business in the Springfield area. They do a great job with customer service. We had to move on Easter weekend for the first of the month take over on a rental. I called from a card I was given, talked to Mike and we made tentative plans. I gave him my email and it was quick work from there to get them hired. I got all my questions answered, I was able to make some requests and a I got a bid. They were excellent to work with - especially for a weekend holiday move.
