I'm a property manager and the company I work for uses this company regularly. They do a very good job at a reasonable price. People who have complained about their availability need to get a grip on reality. This is a small company with a small staff, and sometimes they are too busy to take every job. If they can't take your job right now, ask them when they might be available again rather than torching them on Yelp for work they didn't even do.

Our house came with a janky sliding glass back door that we immediately replaced. The install job for the replacement door was shoddy and a source of regular irritation for my husband.
A few months back we got heavy rain and noticed water seeping onto our hardwood floor. We thought it was just the weather stripping, but replacing it didn't solve the issue so I reached out to Door Guy. I had reached out before for smaller issues and we never really connected, but now that we're home all the time it made things a lot easier.
Lynn came out, inspected the door and explained what he wanted

Nice guy but completely unreliable. Doesn't return calls or emails. I used him once bc my building recommended him, among others. I had to chase him but he did eventually finish it after I sent an email asking "do you want to do this job or not?". Move forward a few years and I have another issue. I call him and he agrees to check it out that day and he would give a call when he is heading over. It's a Saturday and after waiting til 5 for a call I call back and he says he forgot but will head over. We meet and he says he can do it. Then he disappears again. Several

Lynn is the real deal, last of the honest independent contractors. He went above and beyond to fix our back door then replace it while we were traveling internationally.
No other contractors would do it and not only did he do a phenomenal job, coming in a snow storm to do it. He did extra work at no charge to make our door more secure and then install a top the line replacement for the same as some guys charged for cheap Home Depot pine wood doors and frames.

Background: I've been meaning to write this review for a few months. In February 2020 we had the Door Consultants come to take a look at our wood back entry door that was closing slightly off-center due to what appeared to be an issue with the top hinge. Earlier in the summer I attempted to DIY fix-it by ordering a new hinge, and it only slightly improved the situation. After getting a few quotes for a door replacement (which would be costly due to custom sizing required) I decided to try the door consultants.

After a storm I noticed serious buckling of my hardwood floors by my back door. A moisture meter showed there was quite a bit of moisture. With another storm on the way in a couple of days I was quite concerned the problem would become insurmountable.
I called Lynn early in the morning expecting to leave a message - and he actually returned my call right away hours before they opened. I reached out to Door Consultants about fixing an old, heavy exterior door to my condo building. The owner, Lynn, is extremely knowledgeable about everything related to door mechanics and hardware. He was very responsive and thorough about understanding the specifics of the problem up front, and then very transparent about my options and pricing. I would leave 10 stars if I could! Our front door was broken and we found just the guys to do it - all they do is doors, and it was apparent that they knew exactly what they were doing! The Door Guys are even coming back to install a more secure part on the door this weekend and going out of their way to do it. Really, the absolute best service, friendliest duo and the most knowledgeable people we talked to about our door fiasco! 10/10 WOULD RECOMMEND!

Lynn was readily available and even answered the phone on Thanksgiving at 9pm after we learned our door was kicked in. He scheduled us for next day. Took him 1.5 hours for full frame and door replacement and he was able to save us some money by reusing the lock. Courteous, professional and quick! highly recommend.

Amazing service. We have a detached garage with an entry door that was misaligned (knob and deadbolt was't latching with the lock). I asked Door Consultants to swing by our house while I was at work, look at the door, and get back to me with a recommendation and estimate. They showed up, assessed the problem and spent 20 minutes in the freezing cold fixing it on the spot. They weren't even going to charge me until I insisted on payment. Great company and service!

We called Ward when our door was broken into and he promised to come fix it that day (we needed a working door desperately). True to his word, he was calm, unhurried and explained everything. He was a balm on a nerve-wracking day! Ward is a real old-fashioned craftsman so if you are looking to have something slapped up zip-zop, he might drive you crazy. We felt lucky that we found him that day!

The door guy did a great job at matching a condominium door to match the same fire rated doors in the association. The Door Guy was quick, knowledgeable, and he gave insight into city code standards that we as an association should look to implement.

Amazing. Hands down a go to contact to have. Ward knew exactly what to do when the damage was assessed from the break into our garage. They were quick, professional, explained pricing and the why behind the what before doing work. You know what they say: When it rains it pours and well as they were fixing the door I heard a thud and some shelves had peeled away from the drywall due to a neighbors faulty water heater and gravity. He was a happy to take a peak because I was nervous about further damage or something worse happening and he helped me locate the main water valve to the building to shut

Excellent and very knowledgeable door repair service! We used them to repair our older door which had some issues. We thought we would have to replace the door, but they were able to repair it.
