Barnes Lakeside Exterminating Company is a family owned and operated pest control business, serving Georgia since 1981. Fred Folsom, a veteran in the pest control industry with more than four decades experience in pest control, termite control and fumigation, is the General Manager. His wife, Jackie, has overseen business operations for 37 years.
Their son, Jeffrey, is the Service Manager with 23 years experience in pest control, termite control and fumigation. Their daughter, Jamie, has been assisting with business operations for 11 years. Barnes Lakeside Exterminating nurtures loyalty in our office and field staff; therefore, we have very little turnover.
Our combined team of office staff and technicians has many decades of total experience in the pest control industry. Barnes Lakeside Exterminating is a full service company utilizing only the best pest control products and equipment. We maintain a skilled, knowledgeable staff to answer your questions. We have built our reputation on our commitment to providing quality service, which has earned us many valuable customers.
All of our technicians are, at the minimum, registered by the State of Georgia. That means they've had 70 hours classroom and on the job training, and have passed a 100-question exam administered by the State before going out to work on their own. We also have weekly continuing education in-house. The state also requires certified continuing education for them to maintain their registration card.
I can't imagine using any other company. You do a fantastic job. When I have had trouble with sugar ants your techs came and took care of it. When I had a few mice come in your techs came and took care of it. Your company knows what they are doing and every problem I have had has been taken care of with the right technique.
Spring 2012: New ads highlighting our new offers for Spring to appear in the Spring edition of Macon Magazine! We shared simple tips on how to check for bed bugs and non-chemical treatment for bed bugs. We are proud to be able to provide an ever-expanding service line to meet the pest control needs of our community.
Termites have existed for a long time and are some of the oldest insects around. They have a very specialized job in that they feed on wood and serve an important function in nature by converting dead trees into organic matter. Unfortunately, the wood used in architectural structures is equally appetizing to termites.

We started using this company when we bought our new house it was who the previous home owner used. We have been nothing but happy for the 2 years we have had them. The people who come out are very professional and kind. Also the office staff is very helpful and sweet. I have ZERO complaints. Their prices are also fair and comparable to other places

I have been a customer for over 25 years. Barnes Lakeside Exterminating has always provided friendly service and have been very accommodating with my working hours. I use them for every other month pest control. I have had opportunities in the past to switch pest control companies, but I have never felt the need or desire to do so because down-home service is hard to find. We are set up for a quarterly service with Barnes at our office in Jackson. They are always on time, professional and very friendly. Sometimes put out enough poison to get the problem solved, sometimes do not. They are good at coming back. If able, would do my own exterminating as their cost is high for just external. Used to include inside as well, but now charge more for that service. Couldn't give higher rating simply due to cost. $220 for outside perimeter only.

I had been using Terminix and constantly had a different person coming to the house. I constantly had to call to have repeat service and you always had to call a one 800 number and it would be several days or weeks before they could come. I got fed up and called a family owned business! They pick up when you call! No 1/800 number! They came the next morning at 8:00 am! The 1st visit was amazing they sprayed inside and out , front and back porch around the pool! Everywhere! Ants didn’t have a chance. 10 times more than my initial visit with terminix and excellent customer service! If you want
