Inc. is a family owned and operated business that has been building custom homes in the Grand Strand area of South Carolina since 1954. In this time we have built homes of all shapes, sizes, and budgets. We have given each one the same attention and care that they deserve. We build each home as if were our own and settle for nothing but the best quality work.
The best comment I can give is that if I were to build another new house, I would go back to Derriel and use Owens Specialty Builders again. All changes to the original plan were discussed and approved by me. Derriel came up with some great ideas that deviated from the original plan and it all worked out really well.
When we decided to build a home in Heritage in 2009, we interviewed a number of local building contractors. We were impressed with the quality of construction and the attention to detail that was evident everywhere, beginning with the cleanliness of the job site during construction to the perfection of the finished homes.
We contracted with Owens Specialty Builders to build our home in Pawleys Island, SC while we were still living out of state. After the initial phase of going over the blue prints and locking in the design, the rest of the process was left in the hands of Derriel Owens to build our home. As with any home construction there is always a need for communications between the builder and the homeowner.
When my wife and I decided to move back to Pawleys Island we knew it would take somebody with unique capabilities to transform our 1980's townhouse into a modern 2017 model home and that was Darrel Owens Specialty Services. This was going to be more than a remodel but a total redo from the studs out to new construction.
