The new owners wanted to update an aging design. New flooring, kitchen cabinets, granite, door hardware and moldings. The old popcorn ceil was scraped off and a slick finish added to the ceilings adding an ultra modern look. Notice the shiplap around the kitchen counter top. We wish we could have done an accent wall with the shiplap but the new owners were on a budget.
The Crystal Beach House was a challenging project. The kitchen was closed off from the living room. So we opened up the space by removing the wall between the two areas. However that wall was a load bearing. This required replacing the wall with a 21' steel beam header with steel columns at either end.
It was an older home that had been renovated before. The previous renovations added more square footage, now a 4 bedroom 2 bath, but the house seemed disoriented with different flooring and finishes that were dated. We totally remodeled the master bathroom, updated the floors with vinyl plank, added new kitchen cabinets and a large island with new counter tops.

BUYER BEWARE
I’m not one to normally write a review but in this case, I feel driven to warn people. We hired Coastal State Renovations for a kitchen/bath remodel last year. We were given a time frame of six weeks for our project. To be fair, completing this remodel in six weeks would have been exceptional and we were prepared for it to take 10-12 weeks as this felt like a more accurate estimate. We were in no way prepared for the FULL YEAR it took to complete the job. To be clear, the ridiculous time span had nothing to do with material backorder or short supply but instead with disorganization

Jeff and CSR installed a spiral Staircase connecting my second and third floor decks. The framing and painting were done by CSR (and some other minor repairs.) They contracted with someone who did a great job of fabricating the stairs, and installation went smoothly with no glitches. I had a narrow window of time to get this project done, between renters, and it was accomplished as promised. I will definitely use again if I need other projects done at my home.
