California Design Wood Products, Inc was founded in 1990 with an expert employee team to serve the needs of the window and door replacement market. We had a manufacturing facility in Riverside California providing oak, mahogany and douglas fir windows and doors to Southern California. In 1995 we made a strategic decision to cease manufacturing operations.
Our President and CEO, Mr. Ron Nelson, selected vendors meeting our standards for performance and good customer relations to supply easy maintenance, energy efficient, green technology windows and doors direct to California Design. At this point we began operations as wholesale distributor and installation company.
Only the best companies remain as suppliers and partners. With over 30 years in business, we are proud of having a long term relationship with our customers, partners and suppliers. We have worked with our clients, guiding them in the purchase and install of more than 350,000 doors and windows. Our Mission Statement is "The customer is the means of our existence".

I can't put into words how crooked and untruthful this company is. Their work is good and clean. The owner who negotiated with me signed for one price and then tried to charge over $3000 dollars more because of their debacle of measuring one of sliders wrong. It took over five months to get a corrected window. I was told several stories and flat right out lies by the owner. Will not touch up all the scratches they did off loading it. Sent me touch up paint and told me to do it myself. Five months of living with lizards, bugs not to mention the dirt and dust because they put the old window

We have used California Design for several projects on two condominiums. They replaced all the windows in both condos, installed a service door in our garage and removed our old tiled patio and replaced it with pavers. We have had nothing but positive experiences with Ron and his crew. Jobs were completed on time, on budget, great quality and no drama. Who could ask for more? Would recommend California Design without hesitation

I recently had Sunesta remote controlled retractable shades installed for my patio. Ron was great to work with and delivered exceptional customer service. The shades are beautiful! They keep the insects out and provide the privacy I was looking for. I also love the convenience of the remote control. Thank you, Ron and your crew, for a job well done!! Best decision I've ever made!
