We got into this business because of our sub-optimal personal experiences with contractors. They consistently failed to operate in a professional manner, they proved unresponsive, and had no concept of transparency. We established KIC Restoration with an eye towards professionalism, responsiveness and supreme transparency as an alternative to that kind of sub par business.
As an Eagle Scout and Navy veteran, company president Jason Widmer has a long history of completing projects the right way rather than the easy way. Jason was raised in the small farming town of Watertown, Minnesota, where he learned the importance of honesty, family and a hard day's work. As an engineer in the Navy's submarine division, Jason fine-tuned his attention to detail, learning to be both meticulous and efficient.
At KIC Restoration, we love serving the Poway community. We really, truly do. There's something special about Poway, a genuine sense of community perhaps, and we try to mirror this quality every day in how we conduct ourselves and provide our services. As a long time Poway resident and as a local small business owner, Poway has become my home.
KIC Restoration specializes in flood damage restoration in San Diego and the area and uses the newest technology to produce quality results in a timely manner. Each restoration project is different - that is one of the most challenging and at the same time rewarding aspects of our business. Regardless of the challenge, we have probably experienced something similar and we remain well-equipped to handle those unique requirements in stride.
KIC Restoration has the cutting edge equipment required to conduct both non-invasive and invasive leak detection. We utilize acoustical liquid leak detector systems, augmented by Flair Infrared Cameras. We also have a suite of Extech invasive and non-invasive moisture meters. Our leak detection technicians have years of experience locating leaks, preventing water damage and advising plumbers as to the most feasible solution to the given leak.

I can't tell you how much I appreciate the haste at which KIC Restoration Inc of San Diego handled my situation, there was a small fire in the kitchen which in turn caused a water pipe to bust and flood part of the kitchen as well. KIC Restoration Inc of San Diego assured us everything would be okay and they would get out to our house ASAP. They were here the same day, looked the place over and gave us a very reasonable quote. We moved forward with the repair and they had a team of guys out here the next day. The kitchen looks perfect, you can’t even tell anything was ever wrong. Thank you so

KIC Restoration is a true class act! Our kitchen/ family room flooded. I called in KIC after another restoration company brought out a couple of fans and some towels and told us we were fine. I had a sneaking suspicion that wasn't the case. I was right. We had 40 gallons of dirty dishwasher water flood the kitchen/ family room and it needed to be treated properly.
