At Navigate Homes, we have a new name, but we're not new to homebuilding. We've been building high-quality homes in the Iowa City area for years. Our personable and knowledgeable team will work one-on-one with you through the building process, helping you bring your dream home to life. Joe is often the first point of contact when it comes to starting the building process with Navigate Homes and he also handles real estate agreements.
The Greater Iowa City Area Home Builders Association has previously awarded Builders Excellence Trophies to SouthGate Companies in 2012 and 2014 and Navigate Homes in 2017. Members of Home Builders Associations from across the state of Iowa toured various homes as part of the Annual Parade of Homes.

We bought our house from Navigate Homes in Iowa City and we love the house. Their build quality has been pretty great, and as it is a new house there are issues, but Navigate is quick to get them fixed and happy to do so. Would definitely buy another house built by Navigate!

Navigate homes built our dream retirement home, and did an incredible job. This past year my husband and I built a custom home with Navigate Homes and we enjoyed our entire experience. I always felt like we were in the best hands along the way. Jason, Joe, Karl, and our home designer Megan all did an amazing job making sure we thought of everything we wanted. They were all very responsive to any adjustments I requested and even after closing have made sure to continue to follow us to make sure the end product is quality work. I wouldn’t dream of using another builder in this area. Honestly at the end of the project the Navigate Home crew feels like part of the family

I do not recommend Navigate Homes. In all honesty and fairness, I do love my home and the neighborhood. However, in my opinion, the buying experience (before, during, and after) has been terrible. It is worth mentioning the project managers, field, and site operators are skilled and execute subcontractors at lightning speed. They have been helpful and friendly. Most problems we experienced have been water under the bridge until the proverbial water came out of our toilet and turned our lives upside down. We had a great experience building our house with Navigate homes. Since day one Joe, Nate, Jason ,Curt and Carl showed professionalism and amiability , they always answer our questions and were attentive to our concerns. I really enjoyed working with them!
