California Solar Initiative offers rebate programs for the state and the city. In addition, you receive 30% Income Tax Credit and MACRS depreciation from the Federal and State Government.

Assume a solar system on your rooftop of about 8 kW in size. Cost to put up this system is approximately $27,500.
Contract must be signed to verify all costs terms, and warranties involved for the solar installation. Our expert installers will arrive with all material ready to work and get your solar installed! You dont need to be home the whole day during installation however, it would be nice if our foreman can greet you and explain the installation process.
Statistics have shown that it is more economical to purchase a system rather than lease one. If you lease, you will be required to make payments for at least 15 years, whereas if you purchase a system your payback period will be limited to just a few years. Also, when you purchase a system, you will receive a tax refund which may total $20,000.

Aikyum was awesome. I wanted to do my due diligence in my research for a company, so I got four bids from Energsage and a referral for Aikyum from a friend. In the end, we chose Aikyum because of how Harina and her team communicated with us. I never met Harina personally, but her team made us feel like we were in good hands. And we were. The whole process went according to plan, and I had to do minimal work. Whenever I had a question, they were very quick to respond. I still can't pronounce Aikyum, but I wouldn't hesitate to go with them again.

My solar journey started with contacting Harina, who is incredibly knowledgeable and communicative. She went over the different panels available on the market and the size of the system I would need. I eventually selected the RECs due their efficiency and price per watt. She also advised me regarding the different micro-inverter models available on the market.

We also interviewed two other companies. Aikyum Solar (AS) was the cheapest. AS installed our solar panels, an inverter on the north wall of the house, and a smart meter to show net generation. AS replaced the main electric service panel. The solar panels are visible from the street, so we had to coordinate with the HOA. Harina and other people at AS managed the project tightly. AS coordinated well with the HOA, utility company SCE, and us. The work was completed in December 2019, and we received permission to operate (PTO) in about eight days. The system works very well! Just wanted to provide an update - 5 years after install, I thought it might be useful to have my panels washed. I emailed Harina Kapoor, who was my point of contact 5 year ago, and she responded same day with a detailed breakdown of our energy production, and why it may not be necessary given that my panels are producing 10-15% more than expected/guaranteed. She noted that given this, the panels probably don't need cleaning, and provided me detailed explanation of how and when to determine if they do, and a vendor who they would recommend for cleaning.

I had scheduled an install before COVID. As the pandemic worsened, all businesses shut down. I got a call from Aikyum telling me that they would have to delay my installation. A week or so went by and it was clear that conditions weren't going to get better anytime soon. I called them back and asked if they could install anyway as they were also doing the roof and I wanted to get it done soon. We agreed that safety would be a priority if they came out. Price-wise they were average, but I chose them because they always responded when I sent them an email or message. I felt that that means something in case something goes wrong with the system. (If the company doesn't respond when trying to get your business, they probably won't respond when you have a problem with the system.)

We've been contemplating solar for awhile now so when a friend with a new build suggest we look at it again, we did some research. Got a few initial quotes, some with snazzy pdf presentations, but Harina at Aikyum was by far the most responsive and answered our many questions up front. My husband interviewed over 4 companies and did a lot of research on solar companies Before we select Aikyum Solar. They were referred to us by one of our friends and surly they didn't disappoint. The process was very smooth from the beginning to the end. It's been a year now that we have had our Aikyum solar system, and I waited to post a Yelp review because I wanted to see my SCE "settlement" bill.* Each month, we paid about $12-13 for connection charges but our energy generation covered all of our usage. In fact, we were generating more than we were using. Now that the year is complete, SCE has placed enough credit on my account to cover a year's worth of connection charges. My monthly bills will be $0 for the next year! My solar system is covering a house with four adults, an AC system for the summer, and one plug-in hybrid

Simply stated: Harina and her colleagues were chosen after receiving quotes from four other solar companies. We were skeptical, though, because her price was the lowest.
No problem.
Installation was timely [July 10, 2019], follow-up as well.
Bottom line: my average SDG&E billing up to the time of installation of LG panels was $140.00.
SDG&E cost since then: $0.00. In fact, SDG&E owes us $31.66 [as of October 24, 2019].

The easiest solar installation experience you'll have. Harina and her team took care of everything through email until the day of pre-install, installation and inspection. She worked around my schedule to get my system installed. They took care of permits, SCE approvals and city inspection. Her installation team was very professional but also very easy to talk to since I asked them a bunch of questions about how everything gets put in.

I've done extensive research comparing the different vendor's quote along with the solar panels that they offer. Aikyum's quote is by far the best which does not compromise the quality of its performance.
Harina and her team made the entire process extremely streamline from permits with the city and my association to installation.
