Services
Encore is a boutique architecture design firm specializing in historic preservation, adaptive reuse and sustainability. Our team is led by veteran architect W. Ward Bucher, AIA, APT and consists of architects, preservationists and sustainable designers with advanced degrees, licenses and certifications.
A successful architecture project involves working with our clients, contractors and consultants as a team. Project goals can include everything from aesthetic improvements to complete rehabilitation of an existing building or new construction. Our first step in the design process is deep listening to the client's needs and dreams to create the program.
Incorporating historic preservation and LEED Certification into the design process can be cumbersome when trying to coordinate multiple consultants. Fortunately, our staff contains architects, preservationists, and LEED APs who are able to navigate the process to get your project completed quickly and efficiently.
The entrance to our building is not on Light Street. Turn on Water Street, and across from The Happy Grape and Water Street Tavern, you will see our black canopied entry. There is limited, metered parking around our neighborhood, and many parking garages. The closest one is at 30 Light Street, directly across from our building and next to Pita More.
