Founded in 2005, Select Contractors initially served the swimming pool industry, specializing in both above-ground and vinyl-lined in-ground pool installations and maintenance in the Kansas City area. Within a few years, the notice of an industry shortage of residential and light commercial contractors led owner Jamison Shaw to seek out the assistance and experience necessary to serve a need for Kansas City developers, remodelers and contractors.

With the addition of Patrick Stump, a 20+ year professional craftsperson of the remodeling field, and an alliance with Jim's Remodeling of Liberty, MO, Select broke into the remodeling and construction market in 2007. Select now serves the entire metro area as a Class-A licensed residential and commercial contractor.

Select is proud to announce that construction of its new 4,000-square-foot facility will be completed in 2013. The new facility includes a complete clean room for wood finishing and an expansion of Select's cabinet and custom woodwork shop.
