This is an awesome company! Jim and his staff have done an excellent job of replacing windows and patio doors in our house. I was delighted with how neat, quick and clean everything was done. They even vacuumed everything outside, not to mention the rooms in the house! The stucco has also been completely restored to its original form. And thanks to Robin who was very attentive, helpful in finding the right windows and organizing everything properly. Thanks a lot Robin and Jim!

Excellent from start to finish. Amazing customer service. Jim (owner/installer) noticed a slight blemish on a part of the door when Inspecting in the shop... I would NEVER have noticed. He called Milgard & ordered the replacement piece which didn't arrive before installation. I was given the option to have the install or wait for the replacement & reschedule or have the Milgard service team replace ... maybe a week later AT MY CONVENIENCE! I never ever would have noticed if Jim hadn't showed me.

We have had a number of windows done by Almaden Window and Door over the years. Always great work, reasonable price, on time, and clean. Our neighbors have used them and have said the same thing. I do want to call out to Robin and how she went above and beyond in helping us coordinate another service needed. I asked for help because they had great people working there, she came through with flying colors. This is the way they handle customers, they solve problems and are not just about the transaction. I cannot recommend them enough.

Easy. Peasey. Chose AWD based on their location (S. San Jose) and positive Yelp reviews. Very glad we did. Needed to replace a faulty sliding glass door with a comparable new construction Milguard unit. Robin spent quality time with me and my wife in AWD's small (but comprehensive) showroom, patiently going over the various alternatives, and making recommendations based on our needs, preferences and budget. I bought three windows and one sliding glass door from AWD. Robin is so knowledgeable about their products, she knew exactly what I needed. Robin is the best home improvement store owner that I have ever dealt with. Ruben installed the the three windows. He is a master craftsman. Jim and Ruben installed the sliding glass door. It looks great! I highly recommend AWD.

Just completed my second fairly major project with AWD, and it was just as great as the first one (6 years ago)! This one was smaller in scope than the first one -- 2 windows and one slider, as opposed to a house full of windows + 2 sliders -- but much more complex because it required jumping through a lot of hoops set by the residence's HOA. Robin (in the office) was fabulous again, and Jim's work is absolutely top-notch. It looks amazing, it passed city and HOA muster, and I will absolutely be using AWD for any window-replacement needs in future. Thanks again, guys!

I used this company several years ago to install new windows. The windows still look great and I recommend them. Robin was very friendly and very responsive. The people that installed the windows were also very nice people. I especially appreciate the way they treated my home. They were thorough in protecting my things and covering the floors so there was absolutely no mess when they were done.

I highly recommend Almaden Window & Door. Robin Henika was so pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful. I purchased a Bay Window, not knowing anything about it, other than wanting one. she made great recommendations, regarding things that are important, eg. height of bench, strengthened glass to avoid accidents, to name a few. They met the exact ship date as well.
This was so much better than a Lowes and Home Depot experience, where I first started my research.

I didn't appreciate being lectured by Robin about needing to thoroughly read about their services on Yelp before calling them. Is it not expected for people to make simple inquiries from establishments? They don't do door repairs which I initially asked about, but I also wanted to replace several windows & doors in my home too. I didn't bother asking about the latter since she obviously didn't have the time of day for me. I'm sorry I found this business on Yelp, as Robin made it seem like I was a waste of time for wanting their help.

I contacted Almaden window based on the yelp review. Robin who is a owner responded to me promptly and explained tme what I should expect from the replacement.
Unfortunately, my project is out of their scope that they could not take the project, but she kindly offered referral for general contractors. I appreciated the detailed scope and direction she provided.

We were looking to replace our broken french patio doors. We visited their showroom and Robin took the time to patiently explain our options. We did shop around for competitive quotes and Alamden W&D was in the ball park. After sensing that this was a good team from the vibes during the quote and estimate process we went ahead. We had to wait the long time (8 weeks) for custom Milgard's (no fault of theirs). Jim and his crew did a professional job extracting the entire frame and installing our new ones. I have moisture between my dual pane Milgard windows. I'm a renter and the landlord has requested that I get multiple quotes. After coming out the first company said it couldn't be repaired and that they would charge $1200 to replace the entire window. Daunting to say the least. We recently replaced our single pained windows and sliding door. My neighbor really shopped around, got prices and looked at various window and door companies. He said that Almaden Window & Door was by far the best bet. He was absolutely right. Everyone we dealt with was polite, efficient and they were very neat while they worked and cleaned up really well after they worked. The windows look great. Home remodels are never cheap, but bang for your buck Almaden Window & Door is as good as it gets. I highly recommend them.

After a much lukewarm experience with another contractor to replace our patio doors, a friend of mine suggested I contact Robin to discuss replacement of all our windows. I found her to be really proactive and easy to deal with. She was much accommodating to our special requests, including ordering Andersen windows, a line they don't normally carry.
For the installation, Jim demonstrated a high level of craftsmanship. Our painter even commented that Jim's work was one of the best trim work he had ever seen. The installation was done on-time and cleanly.
