Gary Bechtel was the sales man who came to our home . He explained everything very well , giving us pros and cons etc. Installation was done expeditiously .and we were up and running on no time at all. Signed up for Wells to do an ultra simple install of a Tesla home EV charger, as they were "matched" automatically by Tesla to do it.
What a freaking incompetent mess.
Brandon (my contact) has missed two survey appointments. No call no show. I had to call daily for a week to ask him to follow up, which he always promised to do "that day", and then, more no-call, no-action. Though I did have to listen to him blather on with excuses due to "big jobs". Go sit on it, pal.
Take your business elsewhere, these guys are an unprofessional, disorganized mess.

After 5 months from signing a contact and a 90 day project plan, my system is still not active. I'm losing hundreds of dollars each month vs the original plan of energy cost offset over the summer. Based on my observations and even some from Wells staff, delays have been due to poor project management, high staffing turnover, staff work overload and extremely poor communications.

I was doing some low key googling post the winter storm devastation to find out what it would cost to get solar installed. In order to get some quotes my information was taken and assumed shared with several solar companies. Wells Solar called me a week later to set up a consult. I obliged and Gary came to my house 20 minutes earlier than expected (interrupting a work meeting). I asked him if he could proceed with what he needed to do in order to provide a quote while I finished up my work call. When I came out, the first thing he asked was, 'where is your husband?'. Wells Solar did an excellent job with our home, very happy with the job Gary and Daisy did working with me on our solar install. Was able to get the size I wanted with room for more at a fair price. Took about a month from purchase to get it installed, and then after that was just waiting on the city and power company to finish mandatory inspections. The work done was good quality, and they did a nice job with the conduit placement to make it look neat and professional.

Particular Kudos to Katie in client technical support and service. In the transition of system ownership from Envirosolar to Wells, she was very helpful and prompt in getting to the solution for my system failure and get my system back in line. She was knowledgeable on all aspect the the process and scheduled my repair in a timely manner! Wells came through and it's people like Katie that make it happen. 1st off the company is okay compared to the 5 other companies I looked into. They were cheaper than the other ones I really wanted so I decided to go with Wells. Eerything seemed fine but they first messed up on installing the solar panels so thats pushed my start date back by 2 weeks because CPS would not approve. Then CPS finally approved and I was super excited to start seeing my bill go down drastically. Well Wells Solar forgot to turn off the safety for my solar panels so nothing was bring generated. One of the biggest scams i have ever fell for. I was sold on the fact that getting solar would save me money. When in fact it has done nothing but cost me $600-$700 a month for electric. The first month my electric bill was $727 plus the $300 loan payment for the solar. Every month since then my electric bill has been $300 + us the $300 loan payment. How is it that my electric bills are the same as they were before the solar panels were installed? Dropped to a one star. Found out not only did they NOT follow through with their end on revamping the system. They also lied to me about being able to get 2 tax return credits to add to Loanpal before my loan reamortized. But guess what? It was due this month and Loanpal said it's Wells Solars fault. That it doesn't happen like that. Awesome. So I had to put more cash out of my savings to make sure my payment stayed the same. Now I'm definitely paying more a month for solar then not having it a month.

Ok, it's been a year since I had Well Solar install my rooftop solar system. The reason I got the system was they told me it would do away with my electric bill. I still have a monthly bill and now a payment for the solar system as well. Even in months that I use less electricity I still get a bill. I look at it now as an investment in the future when I get the system paid off, but I still have the electric bill that Wells said the installed system would do away with. So beware of their sales staff they will tell you anything to make the sale. If I had to do over again I would have waited

I'm not afraid of my electric bill anymore. I interviewed three different company's and Wells made the most sense. My panels were installed quickly and professionally. Once they were installed, Wells sent David out and he explained all the workings of the unit. They also made it possible for me to hook up my generator. If the power goes out I'm ready, like it just did where I live for system upgrades. Thank you Wells and a special thanks to David Scally.

I had solar panels installed on my home in Houston last year. While it did take quite a while for the permitting process with the City of Houston to be completed no delays were due to any action (or inaction)on the part of Wells Solar. Everyone I have dealt with has been very professional and polite. Our Houston fall/winter was quite rainy and overcast but even then my electric bills were WAY less than what they usually ran. Now that we've been having beautiful sunny days/weeks my panels are working very well and doing exactly what they're supposed to do. My bill for April was $20 and

Matt Bice has worked extremely hard to help rectify the situation. He has spoken with the finance company to consolidate the loans with payment well within my budget. They examined the equipment to ensure it was operating properly. They are very committed to taking care of their customers and really go above and beyond the call of duty.
