We moved into a new home a couple a weeks ago and while I had been meaning to call the locksmith and get them all changed, I had put off the task. One Sunday afternoon I remembered that I need to call the locksmith. I went to Yelp (it's my go-to these days) and The Scottish Locksmith was the top locksmith in the Poway area, so I called him. He was at my front door in 25 minutes and had my locks all changed and ready to go in about another 20 or so minutes. He was really nice, professional and very informative. If I need this service again, I would 100% use this guy!

I do not recommend this one. I saw they have rekey and gate lock service on yelp. But when the locksmith came to my house and the man told me that he only could unlock the gate for me. He could not rekey or change a new lock for me. Even the man is very kind and the service is good. It is not reasonable to spend $87 to a simple unlock.

They are the real deal. Very professional, courteous and thorough. One of my door lock sets literally fell apart. I ordered a replacement and took it to their location to have it keyed the same as the rest of our locks. Reasonable pricing and fast service. It is my perception they do a lot of business offsite (they come to you), so you run the risk that no one will be in the shop when you drop by. However, a quick phone call will be answered and they will let you know when someone will be there if all are offsite helping others.

I just moved to a new home and I wanted to rekey all of the locks. I looked on yelp and found The Scottish Locksmith had very good reviews. I called and Alan was able to do the job the next day. During the call he told me exactly what it would cost. He finished the job in about 2 hours and the cost was exactly as quoted over the phone. I highly recommend Alan for any locksmith jobs.

Wow! I was thrilled with the quick, competent service I received on a Friday afternoon at 4:30! I called at 4:15. I had a deadbolt that I couldn't install. Everything was done and to perfection. I would recommend these folks any day for any lock issue. Quick, pleasant, and thorough...oh, and did I mention the BEST price compared to other locksmiths I called?

I was so bummed - I went there about two moths ago. Great service and I had three keys cut there on the DoNot Duplicate blanks. Not a single one of them worked. I did not take them back, some things are just not with my time and I'd wasted my time there already.

I needed a locksmith for my parents' house in Poway. They were freaking out a little about having a front door without a working lock. I guess I didn't blame them. Well - I turned to my trusty Yelp people and found the Scottish Locksmith. I actually was going to call a few other people before I called them, but I dialed the number and hung up. And within seconds, Alan was calling me back asking if I needed some help. He was out of town, but the other locksmith Alan sent came quickly and was able to fix their lock by installing a new one. I accidently locked myself outside of my apartment on a holiday where my leasing office was closed... Luckily this place was open and nearby!

I called to have my door unlocked and the locksmith was at my house within 15 mins. And it took less than 5 mins to unlock my door. What a lifesaver!

If I should ever lock myself out again, I would call them up! Very friendly also.
