Based on my project, I can't recommend Swell Energy. If you want Tesla Powerwall - just go to Tesla direct. Communications has been exceptionally poor. I am reaching 7 months since contract signed with no answer on when my project will complete. Like others, I was directed to Swell through Power On. I pushed and got my panels installed in October but the batteries are a nightmare. Sales promised they had "batteries on the shelf for you". Which was never true and as soon as he had the deposit, James quit returning emails. Delays from Tesla are understandable - but

They did a fantastic job of designing my Tesla PowerWall (PW) installation, subcontracting its installation, handling all the paperwork with PG&E so that I got my SGIP rebate and getting permit from the County during these pandemic times. Their communications with me are also something I highly valued. I got regular updates and their app.swellenergy.com project portal provided detailed plan, milestones, updates and document repository. The project took a long time to complete, but this was anticipated given their coordination with Tesla and getting a permit from the County during a pandemic

We shopped around for a company to install a Tesla Powerwall to backup our rooftop solar array. Swell came with a good referral from a nearby neighbor, while other neighbors were struggling with poor communications and many delays from other firms. We are so happy we decided on Swell Energy! From contract to completion was only 5 1/2 weeks! (Other neighbors have been waiting for their Powerwalls for months). These guys may well do good work, but their business style is so odd that it's worth a call for entertainment purposes alone. Looking for a turnkey installer for solar plus batteries, I called them.
