Left Hal of the furniture at old apartment and just up and left midway during move

Worst company to work with, total scam! They also work under the name East Coast. The company first answered my initial calls but once we began to have some questions, they stopped answering calls and emails. They withdrew another payment without my permission and obviously haven't returned that payment (working with my bank to get this reversed) The movers had a different amount due at drop off and we were told we still had to pay the amount they were telling us or they wouldn't unload our items. I don't plan on needed a moving company any time soon but hope this review helps and

I recently arranged a small cross country move from Cocoa Beach, Florida to Tacoma, Washington. It was very harrowing in the beginning because I started with one company in Chicago, then ended up with one in South Florida. The company that ended up with the move was very accommodating and assisted me with a short fused move. The guys coming to pack me were in touch and ended up having to get a different truck, but showed up when he said he would. They were extremely polite and got right to it. They also harass you and accuse you of things, they threatened to auction my things, they threatened to take them back to where they picked them up but wanted money for that. They lie, I had three different people call and yell at me on this fine labor day.
Update, the company has agreed to ship my belongings, for the right price, cash on delivery. We are currently waiting for the storms to pass, and I will update any reviews and complaints once delivery is complete and in tact

My parents who are in their 70s and on a fixed income, are in the process of moving. They hired a moving company by the name of "East Coast Move" (US DOT: 1896009 MC: 681911) AKA "Finest Movers, Inc." to move their belongings from IN to TN. They receive a "binding estimate" from the moving company for $3,018.04. My parents put down a non-refundable deposit of $865 for the move. When the movers arrived they told my parents it was going to cost twice as much as their estimate ($6,000+). Now my parents are forced to move themselves via a U-Haul and have lost their deposit

It should be 0 stars. i had a horrible experience with this company. they lie. they delivered 2 weeks late, late at night, had to move a load off to get my load unloaded at 11 pm. there was damaged, filed a claim, with a return receipt to ensure they got it, of course, they didn't. filed with better business bureau and they lied to them as well saying they were waiting for me to accept the claim letter before mailing check.

Finest Movers, which also happens to list its business under other names (i.e. East Coast Moving & Storage, Prestige Worldwide Moving, etc.), was a big disappointment. Finest Movers damaged my bed and dresser, lost a few of my personal belongings, held my items hostage because I wouldn't give them my bank account info, and treated me with complete disrespect.

Complete SCAM. East Coast Movers/Global Movers/Finest Movers. Reporting them to the BBB, media, OAG, and other outlets. Do NOT work with this organization. You will not get you phone calls answered & the will not call you back. All of the staff was beyond rude after they setup the move. Lenny the sales guy was a good con. STAY AWAY. These guys are scammers. They quote a price and guaranteed 1-2 day pick up and delivery window and don't deliver as promised. Then, they add costs on top of the quote. They don't answer the phone or call you back as promised. They also go under the name East Coast Movers. AVOID THIS COMPANY. They say they are not brokers . . . they are. They claim they are BBB A+ rated and they are not even rated.

I hired Finest Movers Inc. to help me move from Ohio to North Carolina. To complete the reservation with Finest Movers Inc, I had to put down a $705 deposit.
On the moving date (Saturday, 9/19/15), THE MOVERS NEVER SHOWED UP!!! Customer Service does not work on the weekends, so I could not reach anyone to let me know why the movers did not show.
I asked for a refund of my deposit early the following week. They apologized, stated they would send a check, but THE REFUND NEVER CAME!
I followed up on 10/9/15. They stated they would send another check. THE REFUND NEVER CAME

Everyone who has moved knows that it can be extremely stressful. Being in this situation and working with a company like this takes away most of the stress.
The pre-move work relied on a few weeks notice. We went back and forth a few times about boxes. My point of contact was extremely convenient in any changes that I made. At one point, I decided to potentially add a few things from my mother's place that she had brought over. We went over the price changes and told me to leave room for extra boxes just in case. I agree with you the last post DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I have been given false quotes and information from the beginning. I was promised my things from Miami to NYC since yesterday still do not know where my belongings are. No one has updated me on anything. Every time I call I get placed on hold for 10 min or more. I was told If I'm not home and they show up I get charged for their wait. But what about mine? I've been out sick from work in pain. Told them I had a Dr appointment I couldn't miss. In June of 2013 Finest Movers completed a move of my belongings totaling 13 pieces. 2 of which were damaged in transport by Finest Movers those items being a queen size 1 year old headboard and small oak vanity. After initiating and completing the claim for reimbursement for those items I received a settlement offer from Finest Movers. It included heavy depreciation of my 1 year old items and only pennies on the dollar for the actual value of the product. I had no problem with this as I was anxious to end any communication

Our story is very similar to the previous review (funny enough we were also relocating from Tampa to NYC).
Yes, the total charge was almost twice the estimate; but I can see that it is hard to estimate when you don't see all the items. Although I have a feel now that they purposely giving such a low estimate to lure a client it.
Here are our troubles with them:
They broke a huge mirror, while packing it (about $400); told me that they have a shop they work with and they will put the new mirror in the frame and put it on the truck before it heads out.
