Jonathan Rice Landscaping is an experienced and established Landscaping company in business since 2005. With 20 years machine experience Jonathan has often been described with his equipment as an artist sculpting the land. This talent is certainly highlighted in his stone work! From design and site work; installing the hardscape and softscape to maintaining your gardens, we take care of it all.

Exceptional customer care is a priority with Jonathan personally working and supervising all of our jobs. The company recently invested in STIHL Cordless Tools, Batteries, Chargers and a Cordless Drill as a green initiative. We will be switching all of our gas powered chainsaws, blowers, trimmers and pole pruners to electric powered equipment over the next two years.

Battery powered equipment generates none of the carbon dioxide or other emissions associated with gas, therefore we can help with the clean air in your yards. Plus our new equipment will be a lot quieter! Lawn & Irrigation Report

Lawn installation, Sod or Hydro-seed. This can include preparation of turf area with premium Loam, Compost, Peat-moss blended soil, spread, raked and prepared for Sod or Seed. We have used Jonathan Rice Landscaping for 4 years and have been immensely satisfied with his work and his crew. Jonathan has an attention to detail along with the skills to do both large and small jobs.

Organic Report

ORGANIC : We provide an organic service for Lawns and Gardens for those customers who would prefer this option. We recognize that this is now an important consideration for ourselves and many people. We use Bio-Diesel in our Trucks when possible and all our Compost and Loam is organic matter. Please make us aware if you wish to use this option.

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Value
This company is a complete rip off. Unfortunately, there are very few options on the outer cape, but they charge $1000 per visit for basic maintenance.

Jonathan Rice and crew member did a fantastic job of replacing my front garden entry stairs. It was an enormous amount of hand digging and hard labor and I so appreciate their dedication and knowledge of how the job needed to be done. I will call them for my next job!

I hired them do do a major landscaping project at my home. They did a decent job on that. For the following three summers they did a horrible job of maintaining the yard. They would only show up if I called and nagged them. Now they seem to have vanished. It is very upsetting that I spent a ton of money with them and they don't even have the decency to respond to e-mails anymore. I also have had a yard for the past three years that has looked awful most of the time.

I called and made an appointment for some landscaping work for my condo in Ptown. They never showed up at the scheduled time. I called 30 minutes past the appointment and left a voicemail. I then called the next day and left another voicemail asking them to please call me back. I have yet to hear back from anyone.
So sad that a company would treat someone this way..

Johnathan sent over a Bobcat to help me dig out after this last blizzard even though I was not a "regular" customer. Three others I called never return my calls. His man did a nice job and seemed to work quickly. 800' driveway with 2 parking areas in about an hour!
