Very unprofessional, super poor quality, and totally lacking in any form of customer service. Worst experience ever!!! Don't buy from this horrible company! My son bought his first home in the Cherry Tree Subdivision last year and a couple months after moving in a pipe started leaking in the wall; they sent a guy out and he said it was fixed; now my son has a huge leak in the same pipe; when plumber went out he found the pipe had been sprayed with foam and was cracked. We have called and called SkyLake; they will not respond or repair their shoddy work.

These people are money hungry!!!! Once they get your money, you will NEVER hear from them to get things fixed. They say they will fix things that fall under the warranty, that’s a LIE. I originally reached out to them 7/6 referencing my lawn that they messed up after l had some professionals treating my yard. It is now 8/20, and the “Supervisor” was suppose to come and take a look but that has yet to happen. Having a one year warranty serves no purpose when they don’t respond to emails. They are NOT going to fix anything. I should have read the reviews beforehand. Karma is real though.

I purchased a home through Skylake construction and everything was wonderful until the very end. They waited three days before my closing date to complete my punchlist. Needless to say they did not complete it before I had to close on my loan. I asked them if I could move the closing date back some until they finished My punch list and they said no that they would charge me $50 a day for every day that I did not close. So my suggestion to you is make sure that they complete your punchlist 100% before you close on your loan. They are now telling me that I have to turn in a

My husband and I started looking for our Dream Home last April. We looked all over Desoto’s County but was always drawn back to Arbor Pointe in Hernando. The subdivision was so beautiful and quiet, and Ms Lynda at the sales office there was super nice and very knowledgeable. Towards the end of May we wrote up a contract for Skylake to build our Dream Home!!! We were more than excited. Ms Lynda walked us through everything and had to field a lot of questions and attitude from us at times but she kept on smiling. Worst experience ever for a brand new house. Started out with an infestation of gnats. They were coming out of the never used by us kitchen sink. First month we couldn’t eat in the house. The water takes forever to get hot. Plumbers can’t figure that one out. Then the roof started leaking at about the 1 year mark and when we called to get the roofing company info we were told they are no longer in business. Now we are dealing with more plumbing issues. Would absolutely not use them again! Please look somewhere else when building or buying a home.

Absolutely horrible! They sold us a lot and took our money when the city never approved the new phase. They never contacted us to explain and made us sign a bogus letter to release them from wrong doing before we got to get our money back! Worst experience of my life! They did this to 36 other families as well! Someone needs to imply repercussions for their poor business practices! DO NOT USE...You will have nothing but problems. Ask existing buyers that this company built homes for. They will tell you the same.

Friend of mine purchased a home built by this company and she was so disappointed. Home was not complete on time and has at least 50-100 cosmetic issues. From the exterior, to the interior. NO painting ANYWHERE was cut in, sheetrock and drywall isn't straight, paint missing and chipping on the exterior. No sealing of transitions was down outside (where wood and brick meet). The wood isn't primed outside so It will chip and fade soon. Screws were still hanging out of cabinets, and the top of cabinets weren't finished as if they didn't care because they felt no one would care to see. When the walk

I really love my home & this subdivision! I read some of these other reviews and some of them are a little rough....Is my home perfect, no but overall it is great. Shout out to Kevin B. & Sabra. Kevin worked so hard in order to finish my home early because I needed to move in and he was fantastic! I had a wonderful experience with Sabra, she took good care of me. I requested that some issues in my yard to be fixed and it may have taken a little bit but it was taken care of, thanks to the new person handling customer service.
