Arcadia Kitchen and Bath is a family business started by husband and wife team Mike and Kim Connell. They've built their business with the same values that they built their family: teamwork, communication, loyalty, trust, and fun. By incorporating their values into the traditional design-develop-build remodeling process, Mike and Kim created a unique step-by-step process that's incomparable to their competitors.
Mike manages all construction related business, deals with all the financials of the company, and works with the team to manage the company. And while this all seems very technical, Mike works hard to keep us all on our feet. Before starting AKB, he held a General Contractors license in North Caroline, was the general contractor for a 16-million-dollar condo development, and managed all the structural improvements on the Cliff house resort.
At Arcadia Kitchen and Bath, we've designed a process that guarantees a smooth and efficient development of your project. Mike and his team renovated most of the 1st floor of our home. The section of the home that they worked on is over 100 years old. Mike worked with us to split the project up in phases due to our budget constraints and we worked with his designer to create something that really met our needs. His work team is professional and they cleaned up the site every night as we were living through the work. The project presented several challenges (like all renovations) but we problem solved them together as a team so there were no surprises when the work was completed.

We began a major renovation on the first floor of our home (kitchen, bathroom, and extension of the back of our house) with ZERO experience in working with designers, contractors, engineers, vendors, etc. We initially signed on work with a design company who contracted out with various professionals after we had all agreed on costs and time frame. IT WAS A MESS! What we had been told was a 9 week project turned into nearly a year and we learned our design team was ready to just walk away from our unfinished project - leaving us with no heat, running water, or kitchen on the main floor of our house
