Our furniture is constructed of solid wood by Amish builders from Holmes, Wayne and Tuscarawas counties in Ohio's Amish country. This area boasts the largest concentration of hardwood furniture builders in the United States. The selection we have in the store and on the website is only a sliver of available styles.
Proper care and cleaning will extend the life and beauty of your solid wood furniture and help ensure it stands the test of time for generations to come. Catalyzed varnish must be dry on furniture for 30 days for full cure. This means that the clear coat of varnish on your furniture is not completely durable and chemical/moisture resistant until it has been on the wood for least 30 days.
Furniture doesn't have to match, in wood, stain, or style! Variety is a good thing, but if you want to match something you already have, it's good to bring a sample with you, such as a drawer or shelf so we can see what comes closest. Pictures are good for matching style, but to match a stain it's always best to have an actual sample with you.

We thoroughly enjoyed working with Dulcie and her staff. The dining room table and chairs we purchased were absolutely stunning. You can’t buy this type of furniture in a run-of-the-mill furniture store! You definitely get what you pay for! This piece will last us forever! It is high quality made down to the last detail. The gentlemen that delivered the furniture went above and beyond as to make sure of the care to put it together and even polish it! I can’t recommend them enough! We purchased a bedroom set and is awaiting delivery. Dulcie answered all of our questions as well as helping us with customizing the bed. The furniture arrived and was set up by two nice and professionals gentleman. The quality and build of the pieces better then I excepted. I purchased the laser etched bottle mentioning Franklin County as the moonshine capitol. I love how the bottle was etched and I had to have it. Also the people ho worked there was nice and helpful. I live out of the area and if I ever do return to Rocky Mount I will return. It's a good place to do business.

I sent an email about a custom wood table top to replace a glass top we were tired of. i got a quick response from dulcie who knew exactly what i was looking for. she worked with the builder to meet our exact specifications and delivery was quicker than expected. customer service, price and quality is top notch. delivery guys were polite and very helpful. couldn't wish for more!

All of the items at Wood Grains are so beautifully made that we want to buy the whole store every time we go in. The employees are wonderful people and very helpful! We love how the furniture and items there are home made, great quality and for the most part local. We have bought things here for personal & professional gifts and also for our home and they are always highly appreciated, durable and valued. As a lover of the beauty of natural wood grains, I was in awe of piece after piece of various styles and designs of furniture in woods that I had never seen used before. This place is great! We bought 2 dining room sets for our Inn in town and rave about it with each customer. Wood Grains provide excellent service, great price and great service (they even delivered and set up ~ with a smile I might add). But just walk through the store. You'll love it and see furniture that is so practical, great looking and simply a step above.
