We offer weekly lawn mowing service and landscape maintenance for residential and commercial properties throughout Mchenry and Lake County Illinois areas. We offer a 4 step fertilization and weed control program. The objective of our program is to stop as many weed seeds from germinating while focusing on all around plant (grass) health.
We offer weekly lawn mowing service and landscape maintenance for residential and commercial properties throughout Mchenry and Lake County Illinois areas. Weekly mowing service includes, mowing of all turf areas, string trimming of areas the mower does not reach, edging of walks and driveways and blowing of all hard surfaces.
We offer a monthly fertilization and weed control program. The objective of our program is to stop as many weed seeds from germinating while focusing on soil fertility. This is just a guide, applications can vary on the years weather conditions and the needs of your turf. Application #1 (March)- We apply a pre-emergent fertilizer.
A soil test will tell us what condition the soil is in and what kind of amendments it might need. Compaction is the number one enemy of turf grass, particularly on heavy traffic areas. Compacted soil prevents turf roots from penetrating deep into soil profile (turf roots grow in the air spaces between soil particles).
The purpose of aerating your lawn is to loosen the soil structure allowing oxygen, moisture and nutrients to penetrate the turf with more ease. What sets us apart is that when we aerate the lawn, we pass over it in multiple directions. Resulting in more cores pulled and less compaction. Aeration is best performed in the spring and fall.

By far the worst organized company I've ever dealt with.
The "owner" Jim sits in his truck while his worker does all the labor regardless of the size of the job.
He's really good at barking orders and going back to sit in his beat to hell truck that breaks down frequently on job sites.
Jim fights with clients on their property regarding contracts.
Absolutely the worst landscape "company" I have ever dealt with.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING!
Organic lawn care is a complete scam.
He dumps garbage compost randomly in yards and calls it done.
Do yourself a favor, run far away from these

My experience is that the quality and customer service have gone downhill. After almost four years with this company, we have cancelled our lawn service. We had three issues in two months and the last one left my yard a mess and damaged.
1. Lawn is consistently mowed with patches of missed grass, and I have had to call them back to mow the missed areas.
2. Mower chute is not pointed inward, causing yard clippings to go in neighbors driveways and then not always cleaned up.
3. Edging pulled out on side of house by riding mower.
4. Edging ripped out in front yard - a chunk was ripped out - by riding

I would not recommend Billy Goat Lawn Care Service. They damaged my neighbor's property and never fixed it. Last year they billed me extra for services already included in my contract. They did remove the charges after I showed them the contract they wrote. I had already spoken with Jim and hired them for service again this year, but his wife claimed I did not have an agreement with them, and they will not return my phone calls.

Last summer they were great, no issues. This summer they were horrible. They killed our grass around our flower beds and deck with the weed wacker. When I emailed them to cancel our service they promised me they would come lay grass seed down if I kept their service, so I decided to give them another chance, but they never layed the grass seed down. The next time they showed up they weed wacked my raspberry bush down that clearly had a little black fence around it! That was it, I cancelled service. I told them I wanted them to replace the raspberry bush and they wont, but they expect me to pay
